Gamettes follow some self imposed guidelines.
1. Use 15mm figures
2. Small monetary outlay.
3. Small time outlay for scenery and painting.
4. New idea for a mechanism
5. Quick game time (20 mins).
6. Involve RFCm folk in development.
The next gamette will be western gunfights.
A much loved area of skirmish games.
I will get out a bare skeleton in the next week for us to start picking it over.
Initial teasers.
Considering "Laredo" "South of the law" "High noon" "Bad men"
1. 4x6 grid of spots. Same effect as squares but more discreet.
2. 1,2 or 3 figures per player.
3. Some allowance to have less figures with better modifiers.
4. A multiple of D6 rolled by shooter after declaration of head, body or legs.
5. No record keeping (I hope)
martin :)
I like it, Martin.
My first PP figures were gunfighters for skirmish, as you offer such a variety.
So I won't have to paint any up just for the gamette :)
Simon
I think we are going to enjoy it.
I will have first version out next week.
martin :)
Always thought this was a good idea. The OK Corral beckons 🙂
If using so few figures on single bases how about considering movement as being from spot to spot rather than from square to square.
John
Very perceptive John. You have it right. The idea being that spots might be less obvious?
martin :)
You can get a jab for those spots, Martin. Measles isn't it?
John
I might talk to my union and picket?
martin :-[
Time to bring in the lancers, I think.
Simon
We could write red top headlines easily Simon.
martin :)
Just think what a career we could both have had, Martin.
A crying shame for the thinking tabloid reader...
Simon
Gotcha
martin :)
the thinking tabloid reader...
Oxymoron?
"Moron" might feature in there somewhere ;D
