Just checking
A) when an officer carries out a fire action, how many bases can fire?
Under actions (20) it says an officer can include himself and 4 other bases in an action. So is it max of four or all?
B) if firing in response, can all the bases roll ie could be more than 4?
For the other actions the max is specifically stated but not for firing!
A good point Graham.
Yes he can only control 4 bases whatever he wants them to do.
Only 4 bases can shoot back.
4 is the magic number.
Don't forget that an assault or search is the lst action an officer can do in a turn. A new/unused officer can then use the same men for further actions on his clock.

Martin,
I think too that an officer doesn't shoot in any case - do I have that right?
Simon
Can more than four do response fire? It's not a officer lead action?
Nope: "4 is the magic number" :)
Simon
The officer never shoots, or searches.
To make life easier there tends to be 4 or less bases in a shot at square. 4 is the limit whether commanded or not.
If an officer leads an assault into a square only 4 +1 officer bases may fight back.
I really like this game partially because it has pace.
