Its unclear whether MGs & Artillery can hold objectives?  P62 14 only exempts a higher command base

Valid question.
All bases can count for holding objectves.

is 1/2 a base 'a base' so can a damaged MG /Gun hold an objective?

I would say no, as a damaged MG counts as a "dead" base in the final count ?
I think it is logical if it's a "Half base" then it would be a no !
But that's my personal opinion.
