Title: Parthians v Romans
Post by: martin goddard on September 25, 2023, 07:41:40 AM
Played at Entoyment Friday 22nd September.

Parthians
5 cataphract units, 8 mounted skirmishers, 6 levy militia, 5 foot skirmishers. All cavalry were shock.

Romans
5 armoured close order.
2 Veteran close order.
4 Auxiliary
5 skirmisher

Two games.
Parthians won both games.
In both games the Romans' fewer units could not hold enough zones against the horde of Parthian militia and  skirmishing cavalry.
The Parthian shooting was  effective enough to cause morale tests of isolated Roman zones. These zones then stopped and lost momentum.
The Roman infantry and Parthian cataphracts clashed 6 times. The Parthians won 5 of those clashes and destroyed some units  in doing so.

9/10 turn games.

Both good games with some tense situations.

I have done a battle report for the next MILL.

Results seem pretty historically correct to me!
