This is in reference to the Epic Push of Pike box, which states quite clearly that it provides armies for both the English Civil War and the Thirty Years War. It has a group on YouTube. A member asked what to do about the very few cuirassiers in the box as he was keen to game the Thirty Years War, yet there are not enough cuirassiers to produce even a single unit for the ECW. I suggested that he look at a couple of metal manufacturers, including Peter Pig. That was fine. I then thought about my use of the standard bearers in the command packs as bodyguard lancers for the likes of Wallenstein. Apparently this breached the rule of promoting a company (?) even though there are no bodyguard, or even cuirassiers standard bearers, in the Epic TYW box. I thought that's a bit rich as all I am doing is making a suggestion to another gamer interested in the same period as me. However, the post was not accepted. I had a little think and rewrote the post indicating that my friend, P. Varken, had suggested using cuirassiers standard bearers as............. Now, readers of said message will have to come across the fact that varken is the Dutch for pig. Nevertheless that post WAS considered acceptable. We are living in very strange times.
