Silly question ?
Differences between Light and Heavy Vehicles ?
Light A/cars and Heavy A/cars what counts as What ?
Light Tanks and Heavy Tanks what counts as What ?
As we now have a lot of 3D printed vehicles becoming more and more available, I think a guide to what would be become what might be handy to have ?
Miles
Anything you like Miles that seems reasonable (a very elastic term).
The light and heavy categories are nice and simple.
SB does include listings of most vehicles and what category they are in.
If a player thinks a British MKIV is a light tank then he is obviously not able to handle WW1 history, but his choice does not affect the game in any way at all. The same player will base his figures all shooting at each other as well but such is life. ::)
I am very supportive of anyone here who wants to make a list of which categories models fit into. Very useful. A good/useful Mill article for you to make Miles?
Vehicles are a very small part of SB. Most armies don't use them. If a player buys a model that is even half appropriate then that is fine. Field guns could also be categorised.
martin :)
Metal vehicles are heavy, 3d printed and plastic are light. Easy peasy!

I can do that, if you wish, Martin.
(it can be illustrated with pics of painted 15mm ww1 AFVs)

Thnak you Pierre.
Please do.
martin :)
Thank you Pierre, I only asked as you can now buy a (quite) few different vehicles because of 3 D printing. So it could be useful for some form of a list to help guide us whose WW1 knowledge base definitely isn't as extensive as my WW2 knowledge base ?
I am still learning, even my SCW Knowledge base is starting to expand ?

You're welcome,
I already began writing the article, with the maximum of vehicles related to every WW1 national list from the Square Bashing Army Lists book.
I'll send It asap to Martin for approval,
Pierre
Thanks Pierre.
