Title: Grey resin
Post by: Colonel Kilgore on July 10, 2023, 07:29:04 PM
I've just unwrapped some of Mr Pig's nice Lancia trucks that I had bought at various times, and which have finally found their way to the front of the painting queue.

One of their number is in quite a different-coloured grey resin (the others being more of a creamy brown colour).

The creamy-brown ones are perfectly fine but the grey one has even sharper detail - I hope this is the new standard material!

I think I have been lucky in that all my PP resin models have been the grey variety. I agree it seems to hold crisper detail...

I think everything has been grey resin.
I will ask Nigel about non grey resin

How old are they Simon?

I bought them in two pairs of two. But only one was grey.

My first order was in March 2022, and the second in March 2023.

Unsolvable Simon. Nigel assures me we only use grey colouring.
As Toyah said "It's a mystery".
All fine though I hope?

Thanks Martin, and the non-grey ones are perfectly acceptable - I clearly don't buy resin often enough. Or maybe you don't sell enough Lancia trucks? :)

Perhaps I have some rare collectables that I should put on eBay rather than painting...?

Don't you dare - slap some paint on 'em and use 'em. They's beautiful models...
