Riposte 20 now out.
Don't forget to let me know if you would like to be added to the list of play testers.
martin :)
Gosh - I'd failed to riposte (re-post?) to the previous version - will get onto it after the SCW day...
Simon
Might be some time athe SCW day if games permit?
martin :)
I'm afraid I'll need to head off mid-way through due to poor planning (obviously not my fault), and will likely be slow at SCW as I've not played it for a few years!
If I can scribble down some comments in advance, I will do so.
Simon
Martin,
Enjoyed Riposte today. As discussed, need to address fact that Musketeer can kill scores of Guards but make little progress if he keeps missing the event squares - if passage is free, he should be allowed to go straight to any event square if he scores enough points. Perhaps, if he then "fails", that passage might be blocked though? I'd still like to see more street furniture / characters on the street, as per all the Dick Lester asides in the films. A Roy Kinnear character throwing his rolls in the air; "Ladies of the Night; Nuns; laundresses; and, of course, Spike Milligan!
Richard
No, not Spike. We need Roy Kinnear.
Was just reading about him and found this
"More than 30 years ago the actor Roy Kinnear died after being thrown from a horse while filming The Return of the Musketeers in Spain. He had dreaded shooting that particular scene because it involved having to "thunder" at speed across a cobbled bridge, despite the danger and his lack of horsemanship"
Never Mind Tom Cruise doing his own stunts. This was a short elderly Tubby man who could barely sit a horse! Who do we know who fits the bill?
:)
Derek
The rules got a good "going over" on Tuesday day and evening.
Results soon.
martin :)
We played 3 games last night (13th July).
This is the first riposte game ever with properly painted figures.
Lots of rule changes needed.
Thank you Stewart.
martin :)
No rush, but when will the next rule tweaks come out, do you think, Martin?
Simon
New version will be out later today I think?
martin :)
Received with thanks - lots of changes!
