For whom the bell tolls is a film set in the SCW.
The text from which it is from does not directly apply to the SCW.
It is by John Donne. I think this is a marvellous thought.
'No Man is an Island'
No man is an island entire of itself; every man
is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe
is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as
well as any manner of thy friends or of thine
own were; any man's death diminishes me,
because I am involved in mankind.
And therefore never send to know for whom
the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.
Hope this is of interest or a good reminder for all of us.

Gosh - that is very erudite for so early on a Wednesday morning, Martin :)
And a nice thought for the day too.

Thought provoking. Maybe we need a thread of words of wisdom to help us in difficult times.
Good note Sean.
I suspect that we all have difficult times.
Any help is good.
