I'm coming for the birthday cake.

And a game in the morning.

I plan to bring an army - just need to finish painting it.

I will have to leave mid-afternoon (bad domestic planning again...) though, I'm afraid.

Sorry but I shall be sat by the pool (heated) eating French bread and brie and supping a glass of Chateau Collapseau.

I will be bringing my Assault Guards, some T-26 tanks and a cheeky little Polikarpov I-16 fighter plane.
Sadly, I don't have an eccentric hat to wear this time. Over to you Stewart.

If John is at his chateau he must be very high command.
I have several spare armies if anyone would like to borrow one.

For myself I will use Moroccans.

I will be bringing a new force of Nationalist persuasion, assuming paint has dried and it's all based up by then. If not, I may need to ask Martin for a few loaner bases!

I will be bringing an International Brigade with some odds. As some stuff isn't ready to use so there will be some fillers to make up the numbers ? But considering I didn't actually start this army until the day after the Kings Coronation, I think I ve done ok ? Plus I ve done a load of Scenery pieces as well for the table ? As the weather is perfect scenery making weather ! Glue and paint dry in hours not days !
I haven't done the special scenery piece as yet ?
But the next time I play everything should be in place, so please forgive me for this coming Saturday? It will be a true "Miss Mash" of a force ! But that's the spirit of SCW ?
But hopefully the scenery will look great ! LoL

Hello Miles
If you are doing scenery for a table can YOU choose the 16 pieces to save time on the day. Also you will need 16 partials and 3 objectives.
Objectives are single square.
Bridge, knoll, building (or similar items).

Ok well I have 3 Objectives of which 2 are new. The Sherman Firefly Bridge is well used nowadays
16(20 as they can be used in PBI too)new Partials for Italy/Spain/Mexico
I will chose 16 templates.
6 Buildings
2 woods
3 Rough Hills
2 Dead Grounds
3 Gentle Hills
Plus 8 feet of Road.
So that's what I can Bring.
Also Martin will be supplying me a cloth as I don't have a dedicated 5 x 3 ft Mat as yet.
I must get one soon ?

I shall be going and will bring along my Peninsular (Republican) army, I have tanks, armoured cars, MMG and field guns though probably can't take all four. I'll need to dig them out as I can't remember what foot bases I have.

I do have a 5 x 3 grided cloth if needed.

Would anyone mind that for my "Light Tanks" I bring 2 PP MkVI tanks ?
Or I can use a pair of sdkfz 222 Armoured cars instead ?
Unless someone has more appropriate Lt Tanks I can borrow for the day ?
Also I am adding 5 bases from my 1918 SB army for my 5 Extras bases option.
I ve got an Heinkel 111 for my plane in "Spanish colours" as I was originally going to do Nationalists force.

I think folk will be just fine Miles. They are light tanks  and thus fulfil the description.
Best not to use SDKFZ 222 as they would be considered armoured cars.

Actually I ve found a slightly better solution ? I ve got a couple of WW1 Whippet tanks that would fit the bill quite nicely!
I ve got my flag bearers painted up as well !

Coming along nicely, Stewart!

When I'd bought that Matchbox kit many years ago, I remember being so disappointed with just getting half a bridge. It was a stroke of genius on Martin's part to come up with a proper use for it!

[I must admit that I had used the bridge deck to cut things on when much younger and just a little bit more foolish, but I can readily replace that now that I've found my unmade bridge again...].

Yes boss.

Is that 09:00 to start playing, having rocked up half an hour or so earlier to get a cuppa, put in an order for a bacon buttie and set up the tables?

Apparently Carl and Matthew are on there own again. Like the last CWB event, the rest have gone up to London ? So get your orders in Early!

I reckon a 9am arrival with a first game starting at 9.30?
The "later" players arriving at 10?

Two games in the day.
The practice SCW games went quite smoothly so the two games should fit into the day nicely.

I predict a big activity in the shop at 8.50 to 9.30 whilst all the gamers arrive together and get to their tables.
If you have your own mug it might be useful to bring it so that it is readily identified by others in the melee?
Then you can leave it behind and wonder where it went?
