Title: Romans v Sarmatians

Romans defending. Plenty of armoured men. Good saves. No bows. 3 bolt engines.
Sarmatians attacking. Plenty of armoured cavalry. Plenty of mounted skirmishers.

Some great fights.
Overall the Romans did better in the fights.

The sarmatians  dominated the battle space. They easily achieved the 14 point superiority.
Kill dice were about 6 each.
No generals died in the making of the battle.

Really good game.

We tried out the  random scenery generator too.

Not many contentious points came up.

I guess it's back to the drawing board for the rules, then, Martin?  ;D

I do get misty eyed for those days of "just out", "just in" and the great reveal.
Big Mike is bringing Romans tonight. There may be trouble ahead?

Are we using cavalry again to destroy  another Roman legion ?

Can't be many Legions left.

I think Big Mike is girding his loins with an all infantry line up.
