Title: Spanish buildings
Post by: martin goddard on February 27, 2017, 08:55:45 PM
1.  I have bought a couple more of the Spanish "drum"  buildings now produced by SHQ.  They are really nice, but smaller than the weekley ones i have. Anyone else have them and comment on their smaller size??  i cannot easily mix the two types. I can of course   have two independent sets or even sell one set.  BI will need 12 squares of buildings which equates to about 18 buildings?  I think the two types are at opposite ends of the "proper size" scale.

2. I also now have  games mat bought by stewart from tiny wargames. Called "arid" it is jolly nice!

Martin,

Will we be seeing some photos of your jolly nice mat in action...?

Will get picture of the mat.  It is very good. I am also probably trading in my Ian weekly Spanish buildings and replacing them with the smaller Drum/SHQ buildings. The weekley ones are realistic but difficult to shuffle about on templates when moving troops.  The SHQ ones are small, but very detailed (albeit chimneys need to be added!)

They are great Les, but fairly small.

They do look good Martin. I saw a couple of unpainted sample Stewart bought at the Bournemouth  show, they do paint up well -  are you intending on doing some buildings ? If not then I may buy some of these.

I will not be doing any buildings at the moment because i feel guilty about all the figures I need to do.
So maybe go ahead and get some Chris.

i am picking some up at the WMMMS show.
SHQ's next show after that is salute.
