Title: Long game at Beachhead 2024
Post by: Smiley Miley 66 on February 13, 2023, 01:35:59 PM
Beachhead is a 2 day show. Unfortunately some people don't seem to be committed to that fact, as tables were being left bare Saturday evening.
So an idea has been talked about ? Let's put on a long game for the Sunday?
So if I can be the first to make a suggestion as a possible game ?
Pony Wars RFCM style ? Obviously using the Western Rules.
RFCM players could put on a Western game for the Saturday as per normal game rules etc. Then Sunday turn it into a game part of a bigger game ?

Miles you  have pinched my game planned for the WWW 23

But we can use the WWW as a trial run

Martin did suggest an even larger Vietnam game as we have at least 3 complete set ups

I was thinking that WWW 23 would be a trial run ? Yes.
If it worked it might just be an idea ?
It something to get the brains ticking over slowly at first ?

I know this hasn't been in the forefront for a while.
But it's something we do need to chat about ?
But I do know, time to paint and organise figures and terrain is a wonderful thing ?
What about CK games ?
I am not too sure when PP are going to release the rules at what event etc ?
But a number of us can bring a selection of Armies ?
(I would certainly have to buy an army asap!)
A selection of table set ups ?
Play against another opponent ?
These games allow 1-2-1 or multiples of players each side.
That way there would be a number of different armies, Set ups and probably quite a time period covered all in one place ?
As it is a relatively short game to play ??
A chance to go through the "NEW" game with prospective "new" customers etc etc.
It's only a thought ?

Hi Miles
I believe the plan if we provide a large game was to run a Vietnam games.
Mike and I have both helicopters so always look good .

Two or three boards running together with two or three times the forces.

Early days

I was just wondering how many tables we were thinking of putting out ?
At least with CK it's minimal amount of Scenery and forces that others might be able to adapt and bring to the table ?
