I have just put up the updated 10 HI scenarios.
These scenarios are usually used for new players or by gamers wanting a multiple of short games.
They will be in use at Beachhead show in Bournemouth.

Happy new year.
martin :)
Sorry if I'm being thick or have missed a post, but would you mind summarising briefly what's been updated here, please, Martin?
Simon
Yepn no problem.
When doing the show circuit with HI I would take a set of scenarios. Each scenario only uses about 4 ships so that players can have a go and use only 40 minutes.
At intervals I change and update the scenarios so that there are more options.
This 2023 set is the fourth iteration.
They are fairly balanced so new players might use them to introduce others to the game.
It is always sad (unsurprising?) to hear of players who put every option from a rule set into their first game and thus find it all too difficult.
If I were learning to swim I would certainly start by attempting a cross channel swim.
martin :)
Thank you Martin, that's very helpful context.
Simon
I like the list of these small scenarios.
I was wondering the ship/boat you have down as the USS Bing ? What is it please ? I can't find a mention of this name in any fleet list, North or South ?
Huron has a better defined stats now I have noticed too !
Miles
Hello Miles
Bing is identical to Miami
A wooden boat.
martin :)
Ok thank you. I see. What I can come up with. I do like to know the history behind the boat ? If I can find one.
Miles
I think the Bing might be made up Miles.
It was 20 years ago and I think I was thinking of something or other??
martin :)
Now I know what class of ship it is I will endeavour to find ships that it could be ?
I ve yet to find thru Google and other sources that the name doesn't seem to come up with any hits.
Miles
Maybe it was supposed to be "Ming", as in "Merciless"? ;D
Simon
I think you will find that the "Bing" is a "Bell" class ship, along with the "Bong" and the "Tingaling".
John
Thanks for the new scenarios Martin. Are the old ones still available somewhere or have they been deleted from the annals of history.
John
First time I will have had tuck money since school!
The old scenarios are gone. However these new ones incorporate the old ones in some part
martin :)
More nice work there, Miles.
Nice to see some rigging too. I has been thinking about using fuse wire, which could be melted into the metal parts of the model. But your approach is probably safer!
Simon
I did remove that message and put it into the correct category, "the long game".
Thank you it's only cotton in a rough pattern. But it makes the ships a lot more robust ? Surprisingly!
