Les,
The 15% discount code for collection on the day is up on the PP website: https://www.peterpig.co.uk/shows%20competitions%20and%20events.html
Simon
The savvy purchaser will of course place their discounted Beachhead order before February, thus securing a 15% saving prior to the 6% price rise. That may pay for your ferry over, Les?
Simon
Hello all
It would be a good idea to order before start of feb and claim 15% discount. Orders can be picked up at Beach head no problem. The main reason for attending beach head is to drop off orders. We will not have much stock with us. Only HI and ACW 15mm.
On both days we will put on HI scenario games. These will be done on our proposed "are you interested" system.
After Beach head i will see if any profit has been made. This will colour attendance at other shows.
Overheads have tended to kill off any show profit in the last 5 years.
martin :)
Can I place another Beachhead order? Already put one in?
Richard
So, Martin - the more we order for Beachhead, the more likely you are to attend future shows (with the prospect of future discounts) - have I got this right? :D
Simon
Indeed. The more orders the better.
If I use psychological blackmail that will kelp too.
Overheads for beach head will be in the region of £370. That is in terms of hard cash, not including time.
This would require quite a lot of sales.
My main reason for attendance is to support Peter (Entoyment) and meet the RFCM wargamers.
martin :)
You have a captive audience for psychological blackmail here, Martin ;D
Simon
I wonder if I can get down for the Sunday?
Sean be lovely to see you.
Simon wishful thinking on the price of ferries these days.
Martin we are getting to be 'grumpy old men' complaining all the time about how it used to be Donald Featherstone still published Wargamers Newsletter.
What is the discount code for Beachead please ?
Miles
I found the code.
Will be putting in an order at the weekend.
"HI23"

I was just thinking you'd be putting in a massive order, Les, to make up for all those shows you've had to miss over the last 3 years ;D
Simon
That's it, Order in for my AWI stuff. Probably forgot stuff but.......
Derek
Thank you for the orders chaps.
Much appreciated.
martin :)
Mine will be after the weekend as I get paid then. Lol
Miles
My order has gone in for some more HI ships and British WW1 figures and Heads.
Miles
Referring bak to Les' original post.
I think there is a Vietnam game extended to 6 foot. Both days?
There will also be a Hammerin' iron game running both days. Mini scenarios only.
I would suggest folk bring their own sandwiches as those at the show often run out (not literally).
Maybe we can also take some pictures too.
If you are involved in a game you can get in early too. If there is a problem just say that you are with the Peter Pig trade team.
A fair few of the RFCM members will be there
I think it might be.
Mike, Mike, Miles, Stewart, Simon,Simon?,Derek, John, martin, Dave, Ben, Les and Uncle Tom Cobley (I think).
martin :)
Martin,
Yes - Vietnam on a 6' x 4' table on both days, with only some very minor rules tweaks needed to accommodate. Not that we've play-tested them yet, of course, but what could go wrong? :D
We will have a pink "Friends of Peter Pig" banner on our table, so please come and say hello.
There are actually some good takeaway food options just over the road from the centre. When the caterers (again) failed to open up enough cafe areas last year, I was very pleasantly surprised with the range and quality available outside, so wi be going out again this year. It's probably an idea to bring your own flask of tea or coffee, though - queues always seem long inside and you may not be wanting to go outside every time you want a cuppa.
Looking forward to seeing many of you there!
Simon
That last bit probably came out a little wrong - I am looking forward to seeing all of you who will be there :D
