What's Frankish for "woohoo!"?
Simon
Crumbs Martin. Those are STUNNING!
I need to work harder to earn more money to buy them all ;D
I've just ordered my Romans for C&K, so Carolingians will be my first purchase in the new year.
Now I've seen photos of the skirmisher command that I had ordered unseen for WWW, I think they could mix in with the close order infantry too - maybe I need some more...
Simon
Simon I believe it is "hee hon, hee hon" nest pas?
John
Might depend on which part of the Frankish kingdom(s), John...
Simon
Thank you for the great response.
Carolingian sare the only thing on th ewrokench at the meomnet.
Except a very old 120th scale German 8 wheeled 232 being readied for table use. Conquest models?
A nicely made 1960s US 120th scale white metal wargames item. It has matchbox style wheels on little steel axles so that the car can be pushed along. I need a second one but this will have to do.

Another stable of cracking characterful and well animated sculpts from PP. I can see these used as proxy Dunlendings, Westfolders or even Rohirrim at a pinch. I've seen Gondorians represented by Byzantines over the years...

Put the word out Neil

Yes the new range looks very good.
I have worked out my force for C&K, I need 34 packs, some not built yet , like unarmoured mounted and casualties but not in any rush.
Stewart
I've worked out a force for Longships, and reckon I only need 3 or 4 more packs to cover C&K too.
Simon
My C&K force should work for Longships,
This is on the list for a play day next year

Having picked up my order at the weekend, which included all of the Carolingian infantry sculpts produced so far, I should say that they look even better in the flesh than in the photos.
I find the pointy sticks always look quite thick in their undercoated form, but rather less so in reality, and will be - judging by the Vikings - even less once painted (in due course).
Simon
It's nice to see that all the latest packs are available for sale on the PP website now - looking forward to seeing the pictures!
