Thank you very much Stewart for organising today and the other games days at Entoyment this year.
I think most of us think these are very good as we are getting "Toys" out we might have tucked away far out of reach !
Anyway 4 games played. 2 in the Morning 2 after Lunch.
I think most of the games were 1870 plus ? (Martin) Plains Indians v US Cavalry/Army(miles/Eric) US Cavalry won.
(Mike)Mexicans v Western workers/Settlers(Stewart) Workers Won.
US Cavalry/Army v Mexican, 1 point difference,draw.
Plains Indians v Workers. (Not sure who won ?)
One thing We did learned yesterday is how a roll of the dice can change possible predicted out comes ?
How big US army units could disappear under fire if the amount of rolled '6s' go the wrong way !
Martin nick named the "Apache fort" Fort Death. As we forced the Indians in the first game to defend !
But in our second game we held out against the Mexicans in the fort with our Liability.
A good day out.
A Big Thank you Stewart; those that came and Entoyment for their usual services.
These days out prove we need to play a few more of these "past" games more often.
Miles
Yes, well done to Stewart for this year's PP Days at Entoyment. Getting familiar with the rules and then a days gaming is a format that will continue next year I'm sure.
Mike
Stewart has already booked quite a list of Saturdays next year. I think the format is excellent and I shall endeavour to get to as many as I can.
Fort Death was the last stand location for my Sioux war party.
The Cavalry were whooping around the surrounded Sioux.
That would make a great revisionist Hollywood film.
"The died with their moccasins on"
martin :)
I will endeavour to get the fort done properly for next year. Get my Cavalry painted as well. Using CWB Cavalry was ok, but I need to use the horses I have for this game.
But yes a great format and we must discuss what games to have when, to maximise school holidays etc for some of our "further" out players to attend ?
Also to have some possible follow up days as well for some games ?
Miles
Wish I could have stayed longer!
Richard
Having practiced I now feel ready to play the game.
martin :(
I have a painted posse, but no one to fight them.
I do have a cavalry and indian army unpainted. I think once the RCW is done, I'll get them out.
I ve got an Indian force to paint(box set plus) and been buying a few packs of Cowboys, now I ve also got the Mexican Revolution force which I am sure I can use some of the mounted ?
On top of my MoCB Australian and Royalist force for RoF and British for PiTS and the list goes on....
