Title: Game on 11th October
Post by: martin goddard on October 11, 2022, 09:44:08 PM
Good game tonight.
Plains Indians attacking.
Cattlemen defending.

Big win to the plains Indians.

The cattle men held a group of buildings in the table centre.
Inside they had a wagon containing the wages for the end of the cattle drive.
Attached to the buildings were some trees. This is where most of the fighting happened.

First a very small group of cattlemen tried to defend the trees.
A mounted Indian charge got bloodily rebuffed.
Later an Indian  group dismounted and assaulted the woods from the other direction. Result = dead cattlemen.

The veteran cattlemen sallied out of their building and destroyed the Indians in the woods. Extremely violent and decisive. This group of cattlemen withdrew to the buildings.

The game ended in an Indian win because they had killed two cattlemen groups and held the high ground (rolled high too).

Rules mostly remembered.
The pre game is the only complicated bit to remember.

This sounds like it played out just like a good Saturday afternoon western Martin.

I still fondly remember our gallant efforts to survive against indians when half of my posse were killed in the first turn and my partner stormed off. WWW 2019 i believe.

Sean I think we played the year before that? When we still were playing in the " Lounge " area. I remember getting walloped by the Indians they kept disappearing!
Still one of my favourite games, we don't play the game system enough !

Yes, I think you're  right Miles. It was in the lounge. Oh those heady days of us having two whole rooms of Piggie fun 🙃
