Thought you were going to play PITS that day Martin!!

If your not doing PITS I'll join you with SB in Poole.

Sorry Les
This is the only chance for Miles to play SB before going to the SB  competition day.
Maybe we can organise more games if you tell me which other days you can play on?

Miles will be using a British interventionist army and i will bring along a white army.

Sorry Les I would have loved to have played PITS as well. But October is quite busy with PBI, Western and SB. I am going to a concert the night before so got the day off on that Wednesday.
I ve spent out this summer and bought a big "British" army for PITS myself, so I am interested in playing the game, but the SB day being arranged some of us have to go to represent others that can't go this year.

I'm off Wednesday12th so can attend for a bit of Square Bashing and can bring along some RCW figures and scenery for a table if required.

Miles are you off to the Pavilion on 11th for a bit of a Foxtrot?

Just be careful not to stand near any open windows on that second floor at Entoyment, Martin.

It would be nice to see you Sean.
YES Chris love Steve Hackett tours especially since they have been doing the Genesis full albums !
Wish he would cover some of his own earlier albums as well though.
But I digress
Looks like this off the cuff Square Bashing day at Entoyment will be fun !
At least  there will be enough of us to hopefully remember the rules between us ?

So what are the armies to be played?
Title: Re: Practice Square bashing
Post by: martin goddard on October 02, 2022, 10:03:24 PM
My thoughts Les were that any  army can be used.
This is because only some of those attending are also playing in the Square bashing RCW day.

I shall bring a Russian army (WHITE) in order to test it out for the RCW day.

Players can bring two different armies if they wish. A morning one and an afternoon one.

Squarebashing warm up day.
12th October 2022.
Entoyment.
Players can bring 2 armies if they wish.
Please copy and paste the following to make it betterer.

Chris Russian Red Army Early War or RCW Red Shock Army 1918-20
Miles.  Archangel British.
John. Austrians 1915. British 1918
Richard   Borrowing an army?
Les  Borrowing an army?
martin White Russians
Sean British?

That gives 7. 8 would be more than 7.  Anyone??

martin ???

Sounds great, but I'm afraid I can't do mid-week.

Looks as though you have a great line-up of many of the usual suspects, Martin!

I shall be bringing either the Russian Red Army Early War or RCW Red Shock Army 1918-20 depending on how many figures I can rustle up. Needles to say they are prepared to push back the forces of reactionary imperialism to preserve the Bolshevik revolution. Power to the people and down with the bourgeoise supported counter revolution - on to Berlin.

Martin, my Germans will be mascarading, cunningly, as late war British to try to confuse the enemy and their own high command.

I'm beginning to think it's time the Russians found a new motive for their existence, at least their leaders anyway.

Julian's right. Just be careful not to confuse role-play with real life.

I have just made a SB snow mat.
4x3 feet.
That is half a Geek Villain snow mat.
It is a really nice texture.
Might make my White army foot bases snowy, but that does limit them a bit.

Anyone want the other half for £20?

Itll be useful for recreating scenes from Dr Zhivago. Tom Courtney steaming through snowing landscapes on his train.

I painted the first 4 units of my red army this week. Two Red Guard units and 2 units in greatcoats. Ive also painted four more white units. One of which according to the Osprey book needs wolf tails on its standard rather than a flag!
