Can the defender start with his unit in buildings on the attackers base line and if so what does that do to the attackers deployment options?
Can't see anything in the rules to prevent the defender deploying there, only the palisade option states that it can't be in proximity to the attackers start line!
I can see 2 options
A) it's not allowed as per the palisade option, so the attackers get a good start with search options!
B) it is allowed, as soon as an attacker is on proximity (including rolling to start in that square) it can then deploy or move. If it deployes, then no attacker can deploy adjacent (or in that square), and must reroll. If all eligible squares are full then stays in reserve?
Any thoughts?
I dont have the rules to hand. Oddly, in all the games I've played, I can never recall this coming up.
If i were a betting man (I'm not!), I'd say option one.
