Karwansaray are publishing a two-volume tome on Samurai Armies of the Late Sengoku Period:

https://www.karwansaraypublishers.com/products/samurai-ii?_pos=5&_fid=3ad1d3940&_ss=c
I've not heard of the author (Till Weber) before, but the sample pages and illustrations provided do look rather good.
Now, can I really find space for 2 more books on this topic...?

Those look very good Simon. Good spot.
I expect they will do a big review in their magazine?
martin :)
I'll look to pick these up. Unusual to find books by anyone other than Stephen Turnbull on this subject!
These are the two books (previously only available in German) that I put in the "God's Own Scale Library" on your podcast, Sean. The originals were published in 2009, so they do miss out on a lot of recent research in Japan, but they are probably the best two books on the Sengoku Jidai for wargamers in English now.
Karwansaray have likely sold out, but they are available elsewhere. The ISBNs are:
Vol1: ISBN-10: 3963600411. EAN: 9783963600418
Vol2: ISBN 10: 396360042X / ISBN 13: 9783963600425

Aaaahhhhhh! All becomes clear! :)
So that would be why the author is noted as "translator" - thanks Gareth!
