Great parade on TV this morning and lots about the French military at the grand parade in Paris.
And this afternoon cycling, the Tour d'France going through the Alps and up Col du Galibier and then Alpe d'Huez.
Need a sit down after all that with a cup of tea and chocolate biscuit.

Do the French do these things as well as we do? Troopibg the Colour takes some beating.
The parade is not as good as trooping the colour but they do have a complete cross section of all their military forces and the Republican Guard on horse and foot.
I imagine that's quite a spectacle.
The best part of Bastille Day is that an Englishman won today's Tour de France stage.

Watched some of it on Youtube. Very pomp amd circumstance.
Disappointed there were no Napoleonic re-enactors there. Marching down the Champs Elyseé is iconic thiugh when you consider all of the history of that road.
