Hi
This issue came up in the AK47 Republic Facebook Group.
With a photo comment on page 11 (Section 9.1 Basing Figures and Models) there is a line in relation to a softskin mounting a recoiless rifle which says the vehicle "cannot move and shoot in the same turn."
A similar restriction is mentioned in Section 28, specifically for missiles, but the restriction is not mentioned in the following Section 29, specifically for AA/RCL.
Additionally I cannot see this restriction mentioned anywhere in the on-table rules, from page 69, or referenced in Section 37 Shooting, or any of the following shooting related sections.
Is the photo comment on page 11 meant to be read as a rule or not? Or is it something intended but actually left out of the shooting rules?
Hello Dexter
Good to hear from you.
The intention is that vehicle mounted weapons cannot be fired on the move.
ie. AA, RCL etc either shoot or move in a turn not both.
This does mean that AK will need a re write someday with added clarity etc.. :(
martin :)
Thanks for the clarification Martin.
Clear writing is an art. I don't envy the rules rewriting but I am sure it will only enhance an existing excellent ruleset!
Cheers
Dex
There are anomalies in there, which we found after a re visit for AK47 games day last year.
With more people on board with the (reloaded) thanks to the AK 47 FB group as well we(RFCM as a collective play testers)might get the rules right next time around ?
Maybe even up date Version 1 as well ? As this is still a popular rule set !
Hopefully we can re visit the rules ( especially Reloaded)after we have got PBI done ? Please Martin ?
Miles
See what the future holds?
martin :)
Does Reloaded really need a rewrite? I don't think so, whilst there are some anomalies an errata / FAQ document should cover them.
Best wishes,
Martin Buck
Found this: Page 18, Section 11.2 Points cost.
Heavy weapons marked with an * "cannot shoot and move in the same turn".Martin
Found it whilst looking at points costs for mortar and HMG groups.
