Yes can I second that.

3 (hopefully 4 of us) are coming across from York.
I'm planning to bring full set ups for Patrols in the Sudan and Square Bashing.
I say 'planning' as I've just got to finish the second of my Square Bashing forces (1915 Italian).
We are also going to start some 'practice' games in the next week.

It would be great to meet (and lose to) as many people as possible.

Hi Julian,

Good effort indeed!

I've had a message from a couple of hopefully attendees saying they've had no joy booking a place via the email address, I know I had that problem too.

Is there an alternative way for them to get in touch, via me or via here maybe?

Tom

Well done on the addition to the haul Julian. Starting to turn into a little pile of loot.
Good news as well on the possible extra people Tom.

Great news about the 12th attendee.
We've finished the preparations for putting on PITS (apart from a few last minute read through of the rules).
The time we have left will be spent finalising things for Bayonet & Ideology.

Really good effort, Julian, on setting this up and getting so many attendees to commit.

I will struggle to get as many for my Crete day, and that's been more than 2 years in the planning!

To be fair this wouldn't be happening without Turnip Tom's post about Northern Piggy Days.
Julian has taken it on and done a sterling job of coordinating and organising.
Yes I've put a reasonable amount of time in. The rest of my little group has too.
The reason is it is shaping up to be a great day and deserves to be a supported.
It would be nice to think that Stockport 2022 is the first of a series of northern events.

13th attendee confirmed....

Could be unlucky - I think you need a 14th player...  ;)

Well that's the packing done for the 2 games we are taking to the event (Bayonet & Ideology and Patrols in the Sudan).

I think we are going to need a bigger car  :D !

It was a great day yesterday.
Element Games was a perfect venue. Julian did a great job finding it and making all the arrangements.
I think the group got on really well and everyone was m focused on enjoying the games. It was a good to chat to other like minded souls.
It was a really good start to a northern gaming day. Hopefully, it will grow to have more games and more attendees.

I enjoyed my day down in Sunny Stockport - it was worth the drive from Falkirk.

I have forgotten names already but particular thanks to the lad from York who put on the two Patrols in the Sudan games.  The second was a rather short affair and every time anyone asked how the game had gone he started with the same phrase...poor old Dave..... and then went on with something along the lines of....caught between a rock and a hard place....

Thanks to Julian for organising a great day and all my fellow gamers for making me feel welcome

I'm glad it went well. The venue sounds great and a good time was had by all.
I'm sorry I couldn't be there, just too busy getting two large houses ready for sale, two family birthdays and a wedding to attend in April. Hopefully life will slow down a little now and I can find a corner of the house where I can work on wargame projects in peace.

I hope I can attend the September event.

Best wishes,
Martin Buck
