Hi,
We had a (big) Square Bashing game 2 weeks ago at out local club in Brittany... Seven players around the table ! (3 bolshevik side and 4 tsarists / international).
What a great fun we had !! ;D
We started the game at 10:30 AM and we stopped it at 18:00 PM. The White side won the game after a fierce battle : it was a decisive victory for them !
Here are some pictures of this game... ;)

Lovely stuff, as ever - looks like you had a great time.
The pizza shot was a nice touch!

Spectacular! ;D
Fantastic looking game, miniatures look brilliant

A fab looking game, scenery and miniatures... very evocative of the period! ;D
Terrific painting and scenic pieces.
Great looking game ! I could do something like that , if I had the time the energy and the talent 😂
This is superb, excellent stuff!
I don't know how you do it, but your photography really captures the drama of battle and shows your figures off incredibly well. Your table looks wonderfully cohesive and the whole thing comes together really well. Congratulations!
Very very nice looking indeed.
Miles
Wow... Thank you very much for your really kind comments, gentlemen... ;)

Thank you, Sean.
I love taking pictures of a game... It's one of the aspects of the hobby that I like a lot. When I went back to the hobby (after a break of more than 20 years), I enjoyed very much reading forums, looking at pictures (and battle reports) : it was really inspiring and a great source of motivation...
I use a mobile phone, and try to follow some simple rules :
- I
never use the camera zoom ;
- I focus on an element of scenery or miniatures that I want to see clearly in the photo (the blur around highlights the targeted element) ;
- I try to hold the camera as steady as possible and take the picture as close as possible to the element I am aiming at (depends of what I want to enhance : background or foreground).
Cheers,
Xavier
This is great.
Once again you chaps have given everyone a feast of lovely stuff.
I think you paint more detail than the sculptor put in :)
martin :)
Thank you Xavier, for this superb footage, and for sharing some of your secrets for taking such beautiful pictures... but you forgot one ingredient: your talent ! :)
