Thanks Martin,
For those with no armies,
I have two and a complete scenery/ cloth set up
Stewart
Good initiative chaps, thanks.
Simon
Simon (colonel) are you allowed out to play?
Stewart
Stewart,
Negotiations will start shortly.
Assuming the flowers ordered for today arrive, of course. If not, I'm heading to the Tower and likely never to be seen again...
Simon
I will be joining the fray for the day. I will need to borrow an army please Martin.
Mike
No problems Mike
martin :)
I should be there. I think I have an army, but no terrain. Can do a cloth.

Miles
I'm good for it. Busy painting half bases at present.
John
I am also game for this. Got an Army.
Derek

Great Simon,
We have spare armies available and suggest two aside anyway.
Stewart
Super, thanks Stewart - I'll be sure to bring my rulebook and unlucky dice.
Simon
Hi,
Can I attend please. Total novice to the rules. Happy just to watch if there are enough attendees. I can bring Pendraken 10mm armies if needed and not heresy!
Rich
Well come Richard, you can partner an experienced player , plan is two have two games in the day,
Entoyment opens at 0900
Stewart
Looking at the list, you missed me ?
I will need to partner someone as I ve only got a V1 army and rules. Not played V2.

No problem Miles

Sounds good to me, Stewart.
Other than that we get to ask questions already before we've been briefed, had two games or lunch - I think you've got that wrong ;D
Looking forward to seeing you all at 08:59 hours tomorrow.
Simon
Excellent!
martin :)
As it is a non footie weekend Ben and I were planning to pop over to watch some gaming at Entoyment. However, Hilary and Samantha have now both caught Covid - so guess we won't (were doomed).
David & Ben
Dave,
That's a shame. Would have been nice to see you both tomorrow. Ben must be about 8 foot tall now - two years since I last saw him at Newbury!
Richard Wills
Hi Richard
Good to see you on the forum. He is Mr Tall, will be 20 in Sept, studying Geology at Uni. Big difference from when we first went to shows together!
David & Ben
David,
Hopefully see you at one of the future days.
Richard
That would be good Richard. Not attending that many events now as I have a season ticket at the football, so my weekends are normally booked up being a yob on the terraces!
David & Ben
I will be there, hopefully for 0900.
John
Great John, see you tomorrow
Stewart
Now Stewart has told me what time tomorrow, thank you. I ve been busy decorating making up for lost time yesterday, as the wife let me have a day off yesterday to play games.
I ll see you all in the morning ?
Miles
Great day out and a couple of fun games. 1 large loss and one large win so balanced out. Many thanks to Stewart and Martin for organising it.
Cheers
Derek
Thanks everyone for a great day and a great welcome. See you again soon!
Richard
I enjoyed my first 2 games of this rule set. Now I ve had a chance to sit down and play it.
Hopefully will get a chance to look at the forces and adjust and paint up some more figures etc. Might even be able to make both sides out of the old army I have ?
Miles
Woe, woe and thrice woe! Got absolutely hammered in the first game, losing by 36 points. then did even worse in the second game. It was so bad we didn't bother working out the VP's!
Roll on MexRev.
John
I blame it all on your use of dice. Maybe you need to learn to roll them with your feet or get an app on your phone! Could always use one of those spinny dice.
https://freeonlinedice.com/ or https://nrich.maths.org/6717
Ooooh! https://www.random.org/dice/ lets you roll up to 20 d6 at a time :)
:)
Derek
Thanks to Stewart for organising today and for letting me share his army. Despite using my unlucky yellow piggy dice, we won both games, so I may stick with Stewart in future.
Thanks to Martin, Derek, John, Miles and Richard for joining in too, and to Chris for popping in for a chat and some retail therapy on his way to work.
Entoyment is a great and very friendly venue, with lots of goodies to tempt the wallet!
Simon

The shameless runners-up - who would have guessed that they'd got 4 of their generals, including a king, killed?

No worries John. You can borrow my weighted D6 if that helps?
A lot of generals died though.
It would be interesting to run such a day, but players roll D6 to select a random historical battle from those offered?
martin :)
Hi guys,
Sorry to say this but the wife was feeling a little "rough" last night and this morning did a home test that has come up positive. I feel a bit embarrassed about this as we have manged to go the whole time since lock-down started keeping clear of the "lurgy". I haven't come up positive ......... yet!
Just thought you should know.
Martin, can you let Entoyment know please. I don't have any contact details for them.
:(
Derek
Thanks Derek it's how it goes simple as ? Miles
Hopefully you will all be ok. Most of what is around now seems to be mild.
John
Annoying thing is we had a lot of things booked for the next week after having so long with nothing booked. Tickets for the War of the Worlds concert at the Bic, Wife has a horse tack sale and also has an experience day painting highland cows (not sure how they get them to stand still that long though! lol).
Thanks for those words. We could still go do things but and play dumb but just couldn't do that. I know, old fashioned types!
I will post on this thread if/when I test positive. Just wanted you to be aware. We are all gents of a certain age!
Derek
Thanks Derek. Honesty appreciated.
Take care of yourself. These are strange times indeed.
martin :)
Thanks for the heads up Derek, take care
Stewart
Thanks for letting us know, Derek.
I do hope your wife recovers soon, and that you manage to dodge the lurgy.
Simon
