Hello All,
Does anyone know if there are any Piggie Days up North?
I'm in Sheffield so something in a radius from there preferably.
Cheers
Tom
AK47 is one I've had most fun with.
Played the WW1 game, again goof times.
Had my beedie eye on some of the others but there are so many rule sets, both Piggie and not, to tempt me!
Tom if you can travel, we have a Weymouth War weekend in a hotel in Weymouth, 18-20th Nov 2022, hotel cost is £90 for two nights + £5 for tea/coffee and £5 per lunch in the hotel (sandwich or soup)
We play a variety of Peter Pig games all weekend, 6 sessions, Friday night
Saturday morning,afternoon,night
Sunday morning,afternoon

There is a group of us at the York club who play PP games.
I can put on Bayonet & Ideology, Hammerin Iron and Patrols in the Sudan.
I've almost finished my WW1 Italians to go with my Austro-Hungarians. That will allow us to play Square Basing.
One of the guys has a very large AK47 collection.
No piggie days planned at the moment but we are doing a Saturday game for a different rule set in January.
So who knows.
I'm in Derby, lots of the North is doable for me and happy to travel (keep me posted on developments chaps!)
Jim
Hi Tom,
I'm in Grimsby. Are there any gaming venues in Sheffield?
Sean Clark may be interested too.
Julian,
Stockport is a possibility.
Weekends are best for me.
Best wishes,
Martin Buck
I'm certainly interested. Anyone close to Stoke on a Friday is welcome to my club. I'm also not adverse to travel to Element Games in Stockport and I am not constrained to weekends - mid week is a possibility too.
Regards
Sean
Goodness what an enthusiastic response!
So I've organised a few gaming days before, but am by no means any authority on the matter.
It sounds though that if I was to find a venue, such as the social club literally round one corner from me who have always been game for this sort of thing, then there'd be definite interest.
Another day was mentioned in January so if I aimed for one later in the year?
Tom
Definitely interested. Sounds like a good plan. Whether multiple rules or one specific, I can manage most PP games.
I'm interested.
It sounds like it would be a great day out.
Obviously it depends on the date and what games are played (I can do Bayonet & Ideology, Hammerin Iron and Patrols in the Sudan. Soon will be able to do Square Bashing).
I play PP games in a group of 4. I'll ask the other 3 if they are interested.
Evening chief!
1) yep, I'm in - sounds a good crack.
2) can't do Easter w/e but should be awright for either of the others
3) happy to try all sorts, only have kit for AK47 but if can borrow some figs(?) I'll give owt a go. Good man!
Jimmy
Back in work tomorrow. I'll check what the big guy upstairs has in store for me over those dates.
Hi Julian,
I'm sorry I can't commit to anything in April next year, and Easter is definitely out due to family birthdays.
Best wishes,
Martin Buck
Hi,
Just to confirm that my little group of 4 are all very interested.
I can do either if the 2 Saturdays in April. I think 2 of the others are also ok with either.
Alan works on some Saturdays and won't know until much nearer the time. We'll have to cross that bridge when we get to it.
In terms of periods:-
I have a large Bayonet & Ideology collection (and can easily put on a game). 2 of the others have quite a few companies.
I can put on a game of Hammerin Iron.
I can put on a game of Patrols in the Sudan.
I should be able to put on a game of Square Bashing (Austro-Hungarian v Italian).
Adrian S has a very large collection for AK47.
Obviously though we could only bring so much (as we'd travel together).
Hope the above helps.
Cheers

,
Thank you Julian, the same to you and your family.
Best wishes,
Martin Buck
As I am in the North, anyone is welcome here for a game!!
In theory keen and I'll play anything but have nothing ready.
Happy to share this with some of the other folk I know who have an interest in Piggie games.
Is anyone else on Twitter?
Too Fat Lardies have a good community on there and it was an easy way to drum up further interest and participation in a Lardy Day.
Julian. I think 8 and above should make it a 'goer'. If we have odd numbers I'm always happy to either umpire or double up with someone.
I can provide:
Vietnam
Vikings
ACW
AWI
ECW
Squarebashing
PBI/WW2
AK47
Hammerin Iron
Patrols in the Sudan
For the above I can provide both sides and scenery.
I have armies also for Bloody Barons and SCW, but probably just enough for one army.
I suppose it's also how you want to run it.
I've run some gaming days which were games set up with figures and terrain for X number of players.
These then umpired by whoever wrote the scenario/provided the minis.
Players, whether they knew the rules or not, could come along and play and even if they had never played an RFCM game before they could come and give it a go.
Games were am and/or pm and players would sign up for q selection of what was on offer.
This way you can get RFCM, other gamers and normal people along for a fun day of trying a variety of RFCM games.
Grand, I'll make sure and book 30th April - great work 👍
Hi Julian and everyone,
I've re-checked with my little group in York.
3 of us can be counted as a Yes for Saturday 30/4.
The 4th won't know until much nearer the time when he gets his rosters. If he can he'll come but should not be counted towards whether the day goes ahead.
I've also posted just now about the day on the York Clubs FB group. There is a bit of interest but I would be surprised if anything comes via that route (so shouldn't be counted upon at the moment).
The games we can offer fit your latest list. However, we would be car sharing so what we can bring will be limited by boot space. Obviously, the games put on can be coordinated nearer the time.
