Well done, Stewart.

Enjoyment at Entoyment - what could be better?  ;)

Good to have these all in the diary so early on to help plan around.

ACW January then ? Otherwise it won't get played again  ?
I am going down Entoyment on Friday.
Don't forget I am going to book Crete on May21st. So that would be PBI 2 weeks in a row ?
Don't forget Beachead 2022 12 and 13 th February.
Also you meant booking up for WWW 2022 ? Not 2023.
I will book that weekend off tomorrow for next year.

Thanks Miles, change date to 2022.
Those  dates are ones that I can book off.
I don't have any free weekends in January and I have booked Beachead off for February so that's my weekends off sorted.
Miles we can use 14th May for Crete if Simon is happy.

I had to book now as my weekends get busy.

Dave, you'll have to get Ben to push the bath chair down for the rendezvous'.

Its a bit like that at the moment Les. So much so that I have decided to take a year off work, as I now have another big operation planned for around 6 months time as a result of my op a couple of weeks ago. The good news is Ben has passed his driving test, so it will be a bit like 'driving Miss Daisy'.

Dave I thought that you had already retired.

Great news that Ben has passed his driving test, he'll be looking for an electric car now then.

Congratulations Ben
The test is tough to arrange in these days of plague, let alone pass.
I recommend (very seriously) that he is only allowed 1 friend in the car with him at any time during his first 3 months. Two friends will lead to trouble. I informed my daughters that failure to do this might cause me to remove the rear passenger seats.

Les I retired and then went back - I know madness!!

Martin - I agree with you, he has been very sensible so far. He has had a box fitted to his car that is monitored by the insurance company (for cheaper insurance), he also gets monthly Amazon vouchers for good driving which he really likes. So hopefully it will encourage him to be careful.

Brought him a car to run about in (very much like the Inbetweeners).

Samantha is also having lessons and is looking at booking her test. She has told me the car she wants!!!

Okay after speaking to Stewart. I now know these are the only Saturdays he can make in 2022.
So I was thinking an ACW themed day in late January ? CWB and/or HI ?
If Stewart is to be involved then Crete day would have to 14th May ?
Obviously other days can be arranged, either at PPHQ, Entoyment or mine depending on how many people want to play on these days ?
But Stewart has arranged and given us and dates to work around and trying to get down to Poole and having Fun days. Also a chance to get some of our "unused" armies out, and dusted off.
Obviously we also have Square Bashing at Daventry in Mid-June, to add to this list.

January might still be high infection times?

That is something we do have to consider, and live with, and learn to adjust when we have to.
So we might leave the actual booking of such an event like that until nearer the time, but agree in principle to beforehand ?
As I said because of numbers anyway we might be able to "hold" some of these "smaller" events at less At RISK places ?
Obviously we want to support the likes of Entoyment, but at a time of choice because of circumstances!
It's nice to be able get some of these games systems out at certain defined times of next years calendar ?

17th September is the anniversary of Arnhem  :o Swap ECW and PBI days? Just a thought. New PBI will be getting a lot of attention in 2022.

Nooooo - I think we're on the brink of stealing 14th May for Crete, otherwise Stewart won't be able to play in the main Crete event...

I think there will be plenty of PBI played in 2022, but Stewart won't be involved outside of Weymouth except for the days mentioned. So don't worry about PBI not getting it's more than fair share of play time next year. I do want to organise a PBI 1942 day for next year. But unfortunately Stewart probably won't be involved. But his work diaries and booking have overrun him, and you can't turn away work when it's there.
It's a case of havin to go down to Weymouth and play him rather than him come to us.
So yes Arnhem would have been good on the 17th September, other years will come up ?
Anyway it's 1942 next year. Plenty of battles to do. Pacific/Asia, Desert Tobruk and El Alamein and Russia including Leningrad and Stalingrad and others.
So PBI will be busy.

March 26 Bloody Barons
April 16 Mexican Revolution
May 14 PBI 2020
June 18 Ancients
August 13 Vietnam
September 17 ECW
October 22 Western

These look good Stewart.
Are they fixed enough for me to "go public" on this?

Martin,

Just to clarify - the 14th May booking is for Crete. I have 3 tables reserved. If others want to come along and play non-Crete PBI 2020 on other tables, then that's fine with me.
However, people just rocking up on the day and expecting something else to be laid on may be disappointed!
