No, I did get the rules when they were mentioned much earlier but haven't had a game but did get the rules a while ago. As I recall the percentages stuff with combat put me off a fair bit.

Yes we played 2 complete games with all the components in play and several of the smaller games at STaB.

They were all great fun and the big games took all day with all the club members being involved!!

Good news Les.

I was  more wondering if the re release of the rules has created some more games?
There was quite a bit of keenness when the new edition was announced.
Has the enthusiasm moved on to different locations or have some games been had?

Across the wargaming world there are a few people  who have collected all the figures required to play the game. Technically,  by the book you need 600 mounted  Indians, which is a big ask, though there are ways around this. The 6mm range by Baccus has been incredibly popular, and makes buying  600 mounted indians more affordable 😊

I think for many folk, it's the painting of the Injuns that would be most challenging, Sean.

Maybe a black rattle can and white dry-brush on the Indians, to achieve a Hollywood effect of the faceless attacking hordes vs. the more colourful main characters?

The 6mm are surprisingly easy to paint. Without stating the obvious, there is less surface area to paint. I've painted a few up as samples with the intention of doing the whole thing...at some point!

I did note that the 6mm range is pretty comprehensive.
Maybe Indians might be created by using a  big base, showing only 4 warriors of the front rank and covering the rest of the base with dust clouds (wool)?

I think that would have to be the way in 15mm, Martin.

I was thinking of different-sized bases - maybe with a counting dial or two, and the ability to drop a few warriors in on a sabot basis.

Not so good for Indian figure sales, maybe, but you may get lots of Cowboys and 7th Cavalry shifted?
