I think I'm reading this right, but just to check:
- templates are 8" x 6"
- however, they can flex by +/- one inch
I understand that this means:
- the flexing is by +/- one inch in either direction (i.e. along the major and/or minor axis)
- the biggest template possible would be 9" x 7"
- and the smallest would be exactly 7" x 5"
So effectively every template has to fit within a 9" x 7" rectangle, and must be able to hold a 7" x 5" rectangle within it.
Have I got that right?
Thanks,
Simon
Sounds right Simon.
I'm not that fussed personally about exact measurements, though I am making a heap of new hills for the day that fit within the numbers you mention.
I think Martin is bringing some good old felt templates. I have some rather spiffing camo patterned felt that ill use for woods.
My table is the outskirts of Kalabya, capital of uMbongo. Some rather nice architecture is heading my way, but time is running a bit short for all of my plans 🤣
The majority of mine are 8 x 6" but I have a few that are different but only +/- 1" on each dimension.
What to do with walls though. Do they have to be based on a template. My reading is that they should be (although mine are not yet). Rules say troops get cover bonus if they are in contact. Does this mean contact with the wall or the template?
Derek
Thanks for that Julian.
In all these years I've missed the bit about rocky outcrops.
