Hello,
Please use this thread for completed entries only.
Thank you,
Martin Buck
Not very glamorous, but here's my completed Group Build 2 entry - a bunch of tents, from Debris of War:

Apparently very simple, but they took several layers of ink and dry brushing to get them more or less how I wanted them. With thanks to Miles for his persistent guidance on the finer arts of dry-brushing scenery!
Simon
OK, well here goes, All built from scratch. Trees would have been included but not finished yet.

I'm going to miss the deadline, but have around 12 hills I'm making for AK day. Should be done by Wednesday.
What about your Bloody Barons scenery, Sean?
Simon
Not sure if that fell within this window. I'll check later.

Here is my contribution.
Fence and wall lengths, with a bend.
martin :)
And very nice they are too.
This time I have completed something, just in time, due to visiting the forum at lunch time and seeing Simon's and Martin's finished items.
Resin concrete and and drum barriers (from Alternative Armies) to use as walls in AK47 Republic:

For some reason I thought I had until 25th September :-[
Best wishes,
Martin Buck
Those are nicely done, Martin - congratulations on scraping into the deadline alongside the rest of us!
Simon
Well done for joining the inner circle of scenery makers and world creators Martin.

Sean,
Your Bloody Barons scenery qualify as they were WIP on 8th August and the window opened two days before and closes later today.
Best wishes,
Martin Buck

Okay here we go. Scenery made for Bloody Barons.

Even nicer in the flesh, Sean!
I think marshes are pretty hard to do well for wargames - to be both practical and to look good.
Now, do tell me, in which piece of terrain did you dispatch Richard III, twice...? ;)
Simon
Julian,
The tents are for my Crete PBI game - to represent the RAF camp at Maleme. I realise that the camp was probably a little more permanent (certainly the officers' mess, which apparently could not be moved to allow better fields of fire), but tents do imply "camp", so I'm sticking with that!
Simon
Thanks Julian. Me too. "How hard can it be to paint a tent with such little detail?" I asked myself several months ago. "Rather harder than it looks!" I can now say with some confidence!
Simon
Aufhagen shed with a radio team that should have been part of build #1

Will get the light box out in a few and take some better pictures
Here is my Fort Massachusetts, large fort for HI originally based in the Gulf of Mexico on the coast of Mississippi. I took the original fort, modified the Gun layout across the top of the fort to sort of conform with the gun pattern of HI. But the main thing was to give me a different looking fort that also came from the Western side of the Civil War theatre. A very enjoyable build and a satisfactory result.

I've seen Miles's handiwork in the flesh, and can attest to it being a very lovely piece.
Simon
I agree with Simon. A really good piece
martin :)
A big thank you to everyone who has supported the group builds to date.
I will set up a poll for the third theme once things have settled down here.
Best wishes,
Martin Buck
Good to hear you continuing with this Martin. It's a nice community project to share.
Thank you for organising it Martin
All good fun.
martin :)
