Title: Some clarifications required.
Post by: Leman (Andy) on July 30, 2021, 04:29:51 PM
Over the next couple of years it is my intention to fight all the scenarios in the rule book. However, a couple of clarifications before I can start:

1. Extra reserves are given in many of the scenarios, but in the intro to the scenarios no mention is made of them. Am I right in assuming that they are off board and are brought on in the reserve element of the turn as the result of dice rolling?

2. Scenario 3, Ludford Bridge, makes much of the Yorkist reserves, yet none are shown in the order of battle.

3. Scenario 4, Northampton, makes reference of the general to the reserves. Am I right in assuming that this is Lord Grey, and when his troops are removed, as the result of treason, he is then places with the Yorkist reserves.

Many thanks, Andy

Long time since I fought these battles.
Each one was fought 3 x or more.
Here is what I reckon Andy

1. Yes absolutely. Place them off table and they will arrive with the normal 4,5,6.
2. Any Yorkists can leave the table by falling back over the  river terne. Once off table these units become "reserves". They can come back but may only arrive at the bridge.
3.Yes, you have it right.

Look forward to your reports on the battles.
