Really good to see how well dressed the 1865 Confederate infantryman was. In reality the worst dressed ANV army was during the Antietam campaign, 1862. There is a well known photo of two Confederate prisoners dressed in rags. It is now suspected that they were made to wear these clothes by their captors for propaganda reasons. Also refreshing to see the lack of Union trouseres on the Confederates. This was actively discouraged owing to friendly fire incidents. Many thanks for posting this - however long it is.
