Title: New Image functionality - PostImage.org
Post by: Administrator on May 11, 2021, 02:28:38 PM
I've added a new function around image posting. You will notice a new 'P - Add image to post'

(https://i.postimg.cc/mPY84CGB/Screenshot-2021-05-11-at-14-25-15.png) (https://postimg.cc/mPY84CGB)

when you press that it got to Image Post where you upload the image and when you come back to the post it will have created the BB code for you.

Give it a whirl. Save messing about with Imgur and the like, you don't need an account and its simple as browse the file to upload

thanks
Simon

Thats got to be worth a coffee  ;)

Wow - that is clever, Simon.

I will miss faffing around with Imgur, though  ;)

You have now earned the coffee I bought you earlier this week.

What are you going to do for your next trick?

Simon

So presumably you've written a little routine that loads the photo to Postimages and then returns the address here automatically (i.e. after the short pause), Simon?

That works quite well. Do you want us to post using "640x480 for Message boards" or leave it unsized ?

This may should daft and I think the answer is yes, if I delete the image from my hard drive does it remain on postimage and the forum?

Thank you for making this possible, best wishes,

I'm not seeing images in messages - an example is the recent post about a mexican car.  I can't see that anyone else on the forum has had a problem but I've checked my browser settings and can't see a problem there either.  Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Brian,

There isn't actually an image in the most recent Mexican supply car thread...

I'm no tech guru or anything, but that could be why Brian isn't seeing an image.  8)

I can indeed, thanks.

Could I ask where the image is from?

I shall have a go:

I don't have any images after June 2021 for some reason, so will have to continue my old tried and trusted method. Secondly, you forgot to mention that to see the P you first have to click on preview.

nothing has changed in this area. You can use PostImage or continue to use FlickR as you have done in the past Andy

thanks
