Hello, just joined this forum but have been painting Peter Pig figures for many years in numerous periods because I love the character of the casting. Currently doing late war WW2 and this is my latest addition.Very tempted to go back a few years next and paint some of those lovely early Frenchies!
Some fine work on this forum I see :)
Cheers,
Lee.
Thanks for posting, Lee. Is the paint job on that Bergepanther finished in gloss varnish?
Hi Mike, it had not actually been varnished in that shot. It has since received a coat of matt varnish, applied by brush.
Hello grambo589,
I asked if the varnish was gloss because in the photograph the model looked shiny. Then again it has been 23 years since I last sploshed any paint on a model so don't pay too much attention to my rambling for now. What paints did you use?
Btw, this forum is behaving a little crazy for me. In previous days and this morning your photographs were not showing, and now they are. :o
Nice piece! Difficult to get recovery vehicles in to a game, but they sure make the table more interesting. in the boo "the last panther" the retreating germans often come across recovery and engineering units that have been exposed by the rapid withdrawal. Good book by the way. Might make for a good scenario??
