I understand that Wargames Illustrated recently published a mini ruleset for WOTR "big skirmish" called Never Mind the Billhooks, which was issued free with their magazine.
This seems to have generated some ongoing interest, and a number of online resources.
One of them deals with simply but effectively painting figures (aimed at 28mm, but these look very suitable for appropriately detailed 15mm figures, in case anyone knows a manufacturer who makes such products?).
The painting guide is here: https://www.wargamesillustrated.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Billhooks-Painting-Guide-Web.pdf
It lists several Freezywater Publications as resources, so presumably has something going for it?

The 92-page PDF compilation of Wargames Illustrated WOTR articles also currently seems free to folk who can find it.
A good place to start is here:

Good find Simon, can you find the one for the Mexican Revolution please?
Terrific find. I shall be able to make use of that. Many thanks.

Good point, Les. I think Mex Rev could be THE period for 2021, so who knows?
