Title: MILL 8
Post by: martin goddard on December 22, 2020, 12:20:41 PM
I do have some articles for the MILL 8.
I would like to forget the MILL out in Jan early.
Maybe you could write just three sentences about some aspect of wargaming and send it to me?

There is no requirement to create a complete opus. :)
The MILL is about normal folk in normal circumstances.

Here are some suggestions
1. My favourite army
2. My favourite scenery piece
3.My ?  15mm

The tricky thing in life is getting started. As Mao said "an article starts witha single sentence" (he is famed for stating the obvious)

Oh dear. Martin has finally lost it. He's started replying to his own posts. Thanks for the prompt to get writing.

Looks like a good incentive to do a mini version of how I plan to paint my 1914 Austrians.

Merry Christmas all.

When I get a chance I was going to do a short piece on Head Swops, as there seems to be a slight stigma or dread behind doing them. Also prompted by Stewart a piece on how I done the Rocky terrain. Young Simon was going to help me piece these together, as I ve plenty of pictures for both events.
Miles.

"Young Simon" (who can he be referring to?!) will indeed be helping Miles.

I'll also do a little piece on tweaks to one of the Gamettes.

I won't be able to come up with anything until at least Mill 10. The mucking around with Brexit means I am having to spend valuable time sorting out documents etc for the now necessary residents permit if you are not an EU citizen. On top of that the study/wargames library/painting room/gentleman's den still needs to be sorted out so I don't have enough yet for an article, but I can see something interesting could be written about the perils of moving one's hobby to another country.

I might just scribble a few lines in between Turkey sandwiches and Christmas pudding.

No worries Andy.
Sean don't get  cranberry sauce all over your work.

Si and Norm; thanks.
I will get on with the MILL.

i will do a gamette at some point, but it will all be forum tested I think.

Thanks to all those who have done articles and bits.
If any one ever wishes to contribute just a single picture with some words that is good too.

Breadth is good.

I often look back on prevuous MILLS and enjoy redaing thjem.
The advaatge on the computer is that i can enlarge the vew when I want to get in close.

I have sent 2 Articles for the Mill for Simon to edit and piece together with appropriate Pictures, so he can make something worth while and informative to read hopefully.
