Hello all
I have been back home for a couple of days, but am still gathering strength.
The story goes as follows:-
I called the ambulance out a couple of times. They thought I might have angina (heart pains).
It transpires I had a heart attack or two.
Went into hospital.
Had a tube fitted (stent) to clear my heart artery.
I am now at home tinkering with some sculpting.
I am very thankful for your good wishes.
I got a lovely big card too (no name on it) which I assume is from some part of the group? Thank you for that.
I intend to get back and enjoy life as before , albeit with lots of tablets and sensible living.
There should be new figures within a couple of weeks too.
Good to be back and good to be amongst friends
martin :)
Great ypur feeling better, slow down take it easy.
I sent the card, (I thought the computer would know it was from me)
Stewart
Welcome back Martin.
Delighted to hear you are on the mend - take it easy!
Simon
Good news Martin. Make sure you don't overdo things.
I wonder if the NHS realise that they have contributed to the Mexican Revolution!
Take care and hope to see you soon (lock down permitting).
John
Sorry to hear of the heart issue, very glad you're back home and contemplating more Sculpting.
Do take your time. Keep your feet up (but don't cross your legs) and enjoy some rest.
Hopefully by the time the pandemic is resolved, you'll be well enough for some face to face gaming 😊
We have many more battles to fight across the table.
Regards
Sean
Stewart, the computer most probably did know it was you!!
Glad to read Martin you are on the mend.
Best wishes for your recovery.
Helen

Terry
Also glad you are on the mend....& very happy to have you back...... i am sure you dr reminded you about the need to take it easy for a while. BUT IN CASE YOU DIDN'T GET IT.......
Definition of EASY..... a bit of fiddling..... a lot of sleep, some reading.... no worrying about racks, extra figures....etc etc.
Definition of a WHILE .......more then a few weeks.
Regards.....Bob
Great news that you are back home. Do take it easy, the body needs time to heal.

That's pretty clear and very helpful advice, Bob.
It reads a little like one of those sections in Martin's rules where he wants to make absolutely sure everyone has read it correctly ;)
Simon
Glad you're home and recovering. I know three people with stents, all doing well years later. One of them still enjoys telling the story of how his was fitted.
Many years back my dad was taken to hospital where they diagnosed a heart attack. "When was the other one?" My dad replied he didn't think that he'd had one though he recalled a bad case of heartburn. "Did you have a pain down your arm?" asked the doc. "Yes" was my dad's reply. "Well, for future reference, you don't get heartburn in your arm. Call for an ambulance."
Take care,
Brian

Good to hear you are on the mend. A message though to look after yourself, hopefully up and gaming before to long. Sit back and take it easy for a while everything else can take a back step.
:)
Chris
Good lord, that must have come as a bit of a shock. Glad to hear that the surgery was successful and that you are on the mend.
Andy
Glad to hear you are on the mend and safe. 2020, what a year. COVID, no salute, I had a kidney cut out, you had a couple of heart attacks. Darth Vader David Prowse has died. One month to go.
How lovely to see you back, please take it easy.
Martin,
We are all relieved to hear you are back home and recovering. Take your time and enjoy the not busy mode for as long as you can.
Mike
Great to hear. Time to put your feet up and enjoy life a bit more.
:)
Derek

Best news. Always good to be back home.
Glad to see you back in circulation. Please Do Take it Easy.
I bought a couple of A13 and 2 French Hotkiss 25mm guns to bolster my BEF for when we can do that Early war game, that was delayed.
But Take it Easy until then. (I ve got to paint them first)
I ve got my 8th Army/Mediterranean Force done and boxed now(minus painted bases)
So plenty to do LATER in 2021. That reads 2021...
So please Take it easy from All our points of view, please.
Miles.
So glad to hear you are back home and on the mend Martin. Take care of yourself.
Warmest regards from less than sunny Brussels.
Stephen
