Title: MILL 7
Post by: martin goddard on August 26, 2020, 09:23:42 AM
I  will start work on the MILL 7 soon.
Amy stuff you have please send in.
To give an idea of what would work

1. A single picture with a paragraph of text. Easy enough?
2. I must stress that the MILL is meant for all 15mm wargamers. This means there is no minimum paint standard.
3. If you need suggestions for articles, how about "My wargames table", "My paint table", "My favourite unit", " A place i have visited", "a photo from long ago", etc.

I am currently painting PP Romans having been bitten by the Mortem et Gloriam bug. I could be persuaded to picture a few with words about paints used etc.  :) I also have a few 1914 AustroHungarians which i could exhibit.

Following on from your suggestion I'll take a few photos of either the RCW or PITS set up and add a few words about how I get my absolutely average painting standard.

I would be really interested in reading that article Mike, I have my own PP Romans half painted and could use some inspiration.

Am i right to worry that Mexican revolutionaries have confiscated the draft edition to prevent the spread of anti revolutionary propaganda? Or have government forces smashed the presses to halt the seditious Mill 7?

Don't be too hard on him, I understand he's been quite busy sculpting and working on 2 sets of rules recently  :)

MILL 7 has finally staggered on to the stage.
Sorry to contributors for late release. I was hoping to get a  gamette done, but lack of play testing prevented that.

The stuff in the  MILL however really is excellent.

Martin,

I have just been reading & It looks great. (And thank you for allowing me to take up to the very last second to get my article in). So many really great articles.

Inspiration strikes as I am now having visions of a new Russian train for my red army & motivation to paint some more on my samurai army.

A big thanks to the authors.

Hello Bob

I agree it is a great edition.

Article 7 has a spelling mistake right in the first sentence . The word should be "inspirational " and not "iinsoiration". I can say this because I wrote it.  The word "iinsoiration" is late mediaeval French  meaning "To make an evening of it ".   :) Page 48 "Deep blue" should read "deep sky blue".
Otherwise I am well chuffed to be in print!

Rittervonbek - it's good of you to point out your own typos, but personally I think we need more dubious Late Medieval French phrases in our hobby, and within the Mill in particular :)

Sat down and enjoyed Mill 7 this evening with a cuppa - excellent work Martin and all contributors, as always offers a good mix of subjects I'm familiar with and those I'm not so much, so plenty to chew over. Also as ever, it chronicles yer average wargamer - not just the fellas who have bags of time and money to spend on the hobby (or in some cases do it for a living!). Really feels like "our" magazine, if you get me? Top notch.

All the best
Jim

Thanks Simon and Jim.
I do go back over them for inspiration and enjoyment.
I like that I can enlarge images on the computer.

I will get the gamette underway soon.

Do get articles in for Jan 2021  MILL 8.

thanks

martin :)
