Second go at Hedgeley Moor in 6mm. I've now got some more figures done to have 8-base units and made some dedicated command stands. The freshly finished John Neville was killed in the first volley of arrows from Somerset's ward. William Neville is standing in for George Neville, and Richard Neville's retinue standing in for John Neville. The Lancastrians actually won this time, due to some remarkably effective archery and the untimely death of John Neville. Medieval battles are chancy affairs.
I can't recommend these rules highly enough. I rate them so highly they've now replaced ACOS as my go-to set of WOTR rules.
Excellent looking game
The mass of troops looks good.

Great looking game ... what 6mm excels at! :)
Great looking game.... and yes the figure blocks are very impressive.
Thanks for posting.

Exceptional.
If you have a longer battle report, that would be good too?
Battle number 10 in the rule book.

Thanks. I did a brief AAR on my first go at Hedgeley Moor here, after a description of the rules. This was with smaller units though:

I also had a go at a bigger game with a 6 x 4 grid, but this report is on Twitter:

Looking great. You appear to have solved what were, for me, the two main issues with 6mm. Firstly getting the flags and secondly my eyes being drawn to the base rather than the figures because the troops are so small. All three sets of pictures look very good.
I really enjoyed the write up.
Recommend it to anyone starting out with these rules as it gives a good description.
Do make suggestions here about what rule changes you tried out and your thoughts.
Hope you can do some of the other fights too.

looks like a battle should, well done
Thanks. I started WOTR in 28mm a few years ago but it was too big a project. 6mm is much more manageable!
