With the latest UK lockdown in force, I have been playing (and filming) a lot of solo wargames as an example for people of how they can pass the time. My latest video is a solo Square Bashing AAR based on the 1918 Battle of Ors. Watch it here (and please subscribe!):

You are a legend. It looks so good.
Great video, reminds how functional the 4 x 4 grid systems are. I've only got the older version of SB, looks like I shall be investing in a newer edition.
Si
Excellent! I keep thinking of trying this myself.
Thanks all, I am glad you all enjoyed the video. SB is an excellent game, so if anyone buys it off the back of this, then I've done my work!
Do more, Do more.

Done.
I watched and enjoyed that video.
Liked the squares too.
We often use a half base, with just a single MG figure on it when MGs take casualties.

Cheers guys. I am glad you enjoyed the video Martin, that's a good idea for the half base for the MGs, I may get a few soon and make up some half bases to keep the theme across my collection.
Also, I set up a board this evening ready for a 1 July 1916 game, the attack on Thiepval, Serre and Beaumont-Hamel. Video to follow...
Good news.

Fantastic news.
I'll be posting pictures as I play on Twitter, follow me here to see them: https://twitter.com/SoSwargaming
Very good video. It's awakened my interest in SB again. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Thank you and best wishes,
Martin
Come on then Sean looking forward to seeing your games with your daughter.
I'm glad you are sharing your stuff here too Abwehrschlacht!
Cheers guys, I am glad you enjoyed the video!
Hello Abwehrschlacht.
Very much thanks for your contributions.
May I encourage you to use a first name to ease and friendlylize communications?
My personal (possibly only me?) feelings are that anonymity creates distancing.
I would like to treat those on the forum as friends.
When I meet and chat with friends I make sure to use their names.
At game nights I usually know those who are taking part and enjoy using their names.
If you like, you can use a fictitious first name that is easy to use, gives you "personality" and makes the conversation seem like a gaming club. By this I mean Derek, Joan, Ahmed, Terence etc..
I think there is only 1 member who cannot use a name on this forum because he has been threatened with instant dismissal by his employer/guardian if he is on a forum.
Of course the above is only my attempt to make the forum "nicer".
If it is not to your liking, then absolutely fine. You are still very welcome and wanted on this forum.
Personally the lack of a name I find to be a bit rude, so would not be willing to risk conversations with such.
This all goes very much against modern social networking I know; but then I do not do much of that. :)
all the best
martin (real name "Slash-Burner-Zombie-Killer-Faction-Warband-Leader")
Sure thing, my name is Alex.
Thanks Alex.
Now we can all come round your house for a game :)
martin
As long as we all stand 2m apart! ;D
Don't forget your suitably coloured bandannas.
