Title: PITS day 29 Feb
Post by: Moggy on February 29, 2020, 05:59:53 PM
A big thank you to Martin and all the other guys who turned up for the day today. Had a great time, finally managed to put all the bits and pieces of the PITS rules together into a coherent system and discovered the wonderful world of Entoyment.

Ben had a great morning, thanks guys. Impressed with Stuarts gun boats, shame we missed them in action.

A very enjoyable day, I think a total of 9 games played by 10 gamers.
Thanks to Entoyment and especially Jess for keeping all supplied with drinks

Good day enjoyed by all. All stemmed from Stewart's offer of a rules familiarisation.
Grew to a big event of 10 attendees.
That is excellent.

Players had 2 or 3 games in the day.
I think I have now leaned mots of the rule set.

Thanks to those who attended :)

What's next? 😁 Preferrably when I'm not working! Selfish I know but I've missed the first two games days and I'm missing all of the fun.

How about Pirates, or Vietnam or SCW?

A very good day, sort of learned at least the Basics of the Game. Loads of fun and good humour over the day to boot as well.
I like Nigel's ideas about expanding the game to include Westerns and other Wars of the time.
Jess has to put up with a lot with us, and does do a grand job.

I want to do PBI 1945 in the near future, once or twice this year ?
As I am painting up my Western Force, I would personally love to do a Western game.
I know Stewart basically between April and May can't attend, would like to have A BB day towards the End of May.
With that said. If Stewart doesn't mind I would like to fit in PBI 1945 to sort of coincides with  VE Day??? Or somewhere near to it ?

It was a splendid day and well worth the fairly long journey.  Thanks to Stewart and Martin for organising and running and everyone involved in the three games I played.  I now know several interpretations of the rules  ;).  It was great to try out my Dervishes and scenery on my arrived-just-in-time cloth from Deepcut.  It was interesting to see lots of other kit as well, particularly Stewart's collection of every known force.  I didn't find out whose the old Airfix Foreign Legion fort is, nice idea, pity they're hard to find these days.

It's a really nice set up at Entoyment and I'd certainly go to another event there.  Pity I didn't have enough time to browse but it could have been expensive!

There's always VJ day, August 15th, if people are busy earlier in the year.

Thanks to Martin, Stewart and all who attended the excellent PITS day. It was good to meet the guys from further afield who made the trip.
Miles, yes to a 1945
