I've sent in my preferences  and really looking forward to it. A great bunch of gamers playing to the spirit of rules for the common man.

Yes it's a long way (just over 200 miles) but I use the time to listen to an audio book and wouldn't miss it for the world.

I will leave that open to those who are still there, the idea is to enjoy the weekend and play something you may not have tried

I think you may have beaten rather soundly in a game of PBI! With some help from Les BT.

My Somme game is getting closer to completion. The 'Ironclad' miniatures trenches are nearly done. The Hawthorne crater is next and the mat has to be painted. It'll be a busy 4 weeks!

This time next weekend we will be up and having a lovely cooked breakfast pondering the days campaigning ahead.

I am getting a tad excited now.  Love my trips to Weymouth!

Thanks to all who attended, I believe everyone enjoyed the games, thank you to the game hosts and a special GOLD thank you to Sean for the Somme game.
I will try to post a few pics but many more were taken by Sean and Martin.

Wow - looks as though you all had a great time.

Lots here to like, but one specific query: how did you make the red / yellow / white text inserts for the caches loops (which look great)? The colour-coded bases of the contents of each loop are also a neat idea.

I have a local company engrave them for me and stuck them over the centre of the loops that Peter Pig sell

Thanks for the information Stewart - they look excellent!

Would you mind sharing an approximate price - I'm guessing bespoke engraving isn't exactly cheap?

I haven't been charged yet as we get other printing done for our business but he was talking about £5 each. Not cheap because of the set up time for a single unit, but I like them.

Well, that was an excellent  weekend in Weymouth. I played 8 games and ran a 9th. A comprehensive report will follow tomorrow  once my lectures have uploaded to Photobucket.

Most definitely the highlight of my wargaming year.

Cheers  Stewart for making the whole shebang  happen.

Thanks Stewart - that's good to know. Not cheap, as you say, but very professional-looking.
