The first Scouts are out [Martin posted to TMP earlier]. Obviously, this is a stealthy unit, so no big announcements on the PP site :)

Soviet airborne units use basically the same uniform, with a blue pilotka for part of ww2.  All you need to do now are some scout uniforms to use as support weapons (crew/hmg/light morter etc) to make me super happy.  Happy with the new scouts, but for extra life to the range the extras would be awesome.

Do the airborne wear the same baggy camo suit?

Yup, they had the standard uniform with the amoeba camo suit over the top of it.  Wore the tankers helmet when dropping and then changed to the blue pilotka on landing.

If you dont mind the cross post, wwpd have a good article written in 2013 by one of the guys tied into that site:

http://www.wwpd.net/2013/12/soviet-paratroopers-in-wwii.html (http://www.wwpd.net/2013/12/soviet-paratroopers-in-wwii.html)

Not sure what references he used, has an email on the site and I am sure he would help you out.

These soviets with pilotka have realy a high level of sculpture. Great work !
Do you plan to sculpt some soviet women soldiers ?
