Title: Samurai Box Set
Post by: agamemnon on October 31, 2019, 09:08:25 PM
Maybe a silly question....
How much is the Samurai Box Set?  Haven't been able to find the price on the PP website.
Ta much for info.
Best,
Stephen

Stephen email PP direct for a price but it looks about 40 packs so about £136 for about 300 figures.
It's a very good set of rules with historical scenarios as well as the normal game

Hello
TheSamurai boxed set was priced on the website and sold quite well.
A few problems wandered along.
1. Folk arguing over what  units should be in the army.
2.  Complaints that there were a few figures left over.
3. Some moans about the number of command figures per unit.

Because i am very busy at the moment I have decided to list the army as a "suggestion".  This allows the above complainants to rest happy that they can pick and choose to change the composition if they like.

I expect to construct another army in the future but it will need some heavy notes to overcome the above perceived problems.

Just off the ASDA. I bought a pack of ten batteries but only needed 8. Should get a refund I think :)

Stewart, Martin,
many thanks for your replies.  I'll now spend a happy hour or so wandering through the lists with the suggestions in the box set. :)
Best,
Stephen

Radar, The quality of your painting would lend itself very nicely to Samurai with all their armour etc

Radar, I think that the Sengoku Jidai would be a natural next step in your civil war theme. You also get to paint red armour as well as black. In addition to all those different sashimono...

In fact, I think you might need to hurry up and plan your initial order before Stephen buys up Martin's entire stock...  :D

You're adoring public wait in anticipation of what your Samurai armies will look like.

It's a case of when, not if  :D

Martin,

I feel your pain. I wanted a 1st class stamp the other day and had to buy 4. I have no idea whatsoever what to do with the other 3.

The left over Samurai I think I would have painted up to introduce into my Western games ala The Last Samurai. Would look great down in Greedy Gulch up against Mad Bad Bob and his boys!

Could be the start of a very obscure fantasy zouave unit for CWB. The famous 5th Kawasaki Tigers.
Re the 3 stamps, there's always Christmas cards Sean.

There are far too many vowels in your words  ;)

Thanks for the kind words.

Now placing fingers in my ears and muttering 'nah nah nah not listening'.

My head has been turned by a rather lovely, but hideously expensive, camera today.

I am very fickle, easily led etc. Today I try to be strong and say 'no'

The camera is no good if you don't have a load of painted Samurai to take pictures of...

See, that's called logic.  ;D
