Title: Gifts of from God pack question
Post by: mellis1644 on September 19, 2019, 03:04:22 PM
In pack 'Dark Ages 14. High value plunder' there is a model of a guy dragging a box with what looks like severed heads in it.  As I'm painting it just wanted to confirm that's what it is meant to be...

I did not think severed heads would be a great prize (that's more Japanese and asian than the Dark Ages to my understanding) - but heck I may be wrong :)

You need to paint in the gold fillings :)

Well inquiring minds need to know such things when painting them up.

I will have a look tomorrow 20th sept.  It might be the skull of St Michael?  Shirley a holy relic?

Yes this represents the heads of a saint. Maybe a follower of his too. My favourite is the fellow finding the crown, therefore depriving the metal detectorists several centuries later  :D
