I do like the new painted-up Pirate looters on the website, Martin!
Is this a different painter than usual - seems like a different style and pallette?
I've not spotted anything else that's changed with this latest update, but no doubt there are some stealthy new releases in there somewhere...
Thank you for spotting it Simon.
There is some secret work going on at the moment (ooo!). Announcement end of next week. This is intended as a nice surprise for RFCM members. You can have some fun guessing if you have the time though?
Also a special rifle armed Gendarme for the train wreckers gamette. Picture soon along with details of the gamette pack.
Edition 3 of the mill will be out this week too.
martin
Very good news Martin!
I do have an idea (a guess - I obviously have no inside knowledge) of what the secret work might be, but wouldn't want to cause upset if I'm wrong.
Is this an "answers on a postcard" job, or are you inviting guesses here?
Simon
Don't guess, because you will be correct Simon. Let's continue to believe that my security is excellent. Maintain the line!
OK Martin, Mum's the word.
Operation Apple Sauce will be kept a tight secret.
I will use an Enigma machine for all future Forum postings.
Simon, enigma is old hat, prove that with 'secret spy book' free with the Beano.
The secret work is. , so get your order ready.

Ah I have broken the code!
Martin is releasing in magnificent 15mm "surround around" sculpting everyone of the Conservative party candidates for PM. Of course each pack will include Brexit achieved, Brexit failed and I've just met Trump versions.
Sorry to spoil your surprise Martin.
Now I hope the surprise is worth it :)
It's good to see the first details of The Mill 3 appearing on the PP website [https://www.peterpig.co.uk/the15MILL.html], including the figure pack details.
I'd thought that the latest magazine itself might be there too, but the link is currently to The Mill 1. I must learn patience...
Which won't stop me from looking forward to photos of the new French Gendarmes figures in due course :)
Yes, ordered my train wrecker set
You are very good, Stewart.
I was thinking that this might be a good thing on which to use my Square Bashing Day discount code.
If it is a secret portal to access an order code for 'lowland pike open handed'*, I will sulk. Just finished drilling out the hand of my 72nd 'lowland pike'.
*Feel free to substitute the unavailable figure of your choice
Well, the secret came out this weekend - scroll down to the bottom of this:

But this latest release seems to have pleased quite a few of the people, so that's probably a win!
Well, there are (yet) more Serbs, and a handy bundle-of-five US WW2 halftracks - should all now be showing in the current "News" banners of this Forum!
There are now WW1 Senegalese Tirailleurs (pack #280) here:
https://www.peterpig.co.uk/worldwar1.html
And in the Heads and Odds range [https://www.peterpig.co.uk/heads.html], there are:
#131: Woodland Indians
#132: WW1 Serbian caps
#133: Canadian 1865 cap
Thank you Simon. I will get those pictures too you ASAP. I will need some time to come up with a good excuse first. how about "It's Dave's fault?"
I totally agree, Dave at fault. What??
Blame Ben.

I expect that Murat has stolen the photos of the Pirate broadside markers...
That Canadian cap would make very nice British home service units using the Sudan figures. Possibilities for TMWWBK Fench or German invasion of 1880s/90s Britain, or a bit of VSF.
Those ACW Union Generals are clearly getting close: https://www.peterpig.co.uk/acw.html
8 new Union Generals are on their way, with the first 3 available to buy now. Hopefully pictures will follow and feature in our News banners shortly.
While those new ACW generals, Burnside in particular, have some minor temptation, those longhorns already pried open the wallet.
As to the 'minor', I've been thinking of parting with my ACW collection - even though my first and still largest painted collection, it was really an 'adjunct' interest that I maintained because it was the 'big think' locally when I get into doing miniatures.
Not my paint job, though!
A great job, anyway.
A very moo-ving Photo. Don't want to be around when some ornery cuss gets playful with a pistol.
5 more ACW Union generals, and 2 rather special items - all on today's News!
"rather special items" to who? And news? What news?! >:(
Don't worry, I'll get over it. Eventually. As long as I know! :-[
And some of us don't actually game WWII.
I rather like the large Green Aliens. They could be just the thing for an off beat fantasy project which I have on the backburner.

Fifteensaway, the News is the first section on the home page of this Forum. There are usually half a dozen or more recent items: new figures or vehicles, show announcements, new rules... up there with links to the relevant section of the PP website or the Forum itself. You need to wait a few seconds for the next item to pop up.
Does that help?
Simon

https://www.peterpig.co.uk/collectable%20figures.html
(https://www.peterpig.co.uk/wpimages/wp0840549e_05_06.jpg)
I'm not sure how new this one is (it says it's "new" on the PP website :))), but I spotted some ACW camp followers today:
They don't look that camp to me, but maybe it comes down to how you paint them?
Either way, they could look great on a little command base diorama.
Sorry Simon about the quality. Better pictures on their way to you :)
The animals talk to me you know. I just don't understand what they are saying.
To be honest with a head swop or two they would suffice, 19th/20th century type command bases.

I have been waiting for them! They look great! Can we have the gamette requirement for troops? I'm waiting for the troop requirement or even a figure pack like the ones for the previous gamettes to add them to my order.
Ok, never mind, I just saw that the 15mill page has been updated to add the pack for gamette #4.
The next five Union generals are now up on the PP website and ready for sale - get them while they're still hot!
I particularly like Grant and Sherman. Grant's left hand is definitely going to get a cigar from me.
I love the quote about Grant and his knowledge of music.
'He knew only two pieces of music. One was Yankee Doodle, and the other wasn't.'
It was probably Dixie, as popular in the north as the south.
Spotted today: Vietnam Hill Tribe packs with carbine and SMGs are now for sale, with the promise of US advisors to come.
https://www.peterpig.co.uk/vietnam.html
Hopefully some pictures soon.
Nice new pack of Green Berets, Mr Pig!
I'll get the picture up and sort out the other newly-photographed Vietnam ones too.
Thanks Simon
Let is see if they are better quality??
Wait, what? I see no Green Berets??
Can I add some to my order if I ring the workshop tomorrow??
Quote from: Sean Clark on December 17, 2019, 10:13:59 PM

Naturally - they're wearing camo and are masters of disguise.
There's also a pack of Early War German anti-tank gunners - you'll be wanting some of those too, Sean (and it looks as though more EW packs are on the way).
I may have been napping, but missed these rather nice new (?) resin tents in the ACW range:

They're ghosts, they just materialise.
I think they might be related to those invisible Boers...
The observant among you will have spotted the additional ACW general, as well as more of the lovely new Early WW2 German infantry, on the PP website (or hopefully at least in the News section of this Forum...).
The General Armistead foot figure is not on general sale - you'll have to buy the forthcoming The Mill Gamette 5 pack to get hold of him!
Good to see that Martin's been busy self-isolating in his sculpting room, with a bunch of new Early WW2 Germans now available to buy, and just pack 690 tantalisingly awaiting a description and an "Add to cart" button...
Simon always does me a favour by putting the pictures up. Thanks Simon :). I will get a clutch of pictures done this weekend instead of going out to party.
martin
Excellent - I'll get to see them first :D
Sorry you won't be clubbing this weekend, Martin. We have been running a virtual pub trip at work on Fridays: we each sit at home and drink while maintaining social distancing via a video call..

I ve got my new batch of figures to do(Arrived today)and scenery to do for Western game.
Please keep up the good work Martin.

More stealth releases from the pig sty (must thing of a new term - that hardly sounds flattering!): Early War German prime MG34 teams, and a re-mastered "whole war" team of German Assault Engineers (the latter were predictable, as I've recently bought a pack of the old ones ::) )

Cochonnerie? Je suis époustouflé!
I hope that cochonnerie is an attempt at Franglais?! As I really think it is quite uncalled for describing Martin's shed as 'junk food'*. Tantamount to fighting talk sir!
* The analogy may not be totally unfair, as the shed output is moreish, just as junk food can be...
After a discussion with our French neighbour over an aperitif in the garden at a social distance she did not have any translation for 'pig sty'.
The nearest she had 'Souete de cochon' or 'cochon souette' but these so thought were patois for our region.
Les,
I think "porcherie" would be the direct translation for pig sty?
PP HQ may of course merit a rather grander title...

It's nice to see that the SCW bomb slingers are now available for sale on the PP website. I looking forward to photos in due course, but don't want to distract Martin from his righteous path of sculpting those long-awaited German paras!
Simon
The SCW bomb-slinger pack photo is now up, as well as some more German early war troops - infantry (finishing things off for the time being?) as well as the start of the new range of Early War paras :)
There are several other packs for various ranges in preparation.
They are waiting for some more paras to slip through.
As a teaser; one of them is a WW1 armoured car.
martin
Lockdown has never been so good :)
Yes every cloud has a tin/lead based lining?
martin
I'm liking the idea of a WW1 armoured car.
Nick
Yes ...def a second vote for another armoured car as well.
Could it be British Rolls Royce armoured car?
If so, I can add them to my PBI North Africa army
I notice the WW1 page on the PP site has an empty "new" slot in the British section ready.
Nick
Yep, also saw that, and thought that a Rolls Royce would be nice 🙂
Martin is teasing with New Fallschirmjager headings but no pictures
Stewart
He like to keep his eager customers on tenterhooks...
Simon
But I now see the site's been refreshed recently, and both "MG34 moving" (the requested pack that started it all!) and "paras with grenades" are now available for purchase.
The other 7 codes (details still to be revealed) are of course intriguing...
No doubt Martin will get some pictures done for me to post up here in due course, but I don't want to put a brake on the creative process!

This sounds like a good guessing game.
1. Medium Mortar
2. Dead
3. MG34 prone
4. Crew. (Thinking man pack artillery or AT gun)
5. Engineers (flamethrower, satchel charges, mines)
6. HMG Firing
7. Platoon Command
Bonus Wish list - Company Command, NCO's, Mule Handlers with Mules, spotters.
What's your guess list?
Paul,
You are onto something here. I think we need all of your 7, plus recoilless rifle, plus weapon canisters plus parachute canopies.
I conclude that 7 are not enough and that we should all encourage Martin not to get too distracted by the Mexican Revolution just yet!
Simon
Simon,
I can almost feel your desire for those new packs all the way over here.
Martin of course might be missing out on an opportunity...he could almost see
What the bidding for new master 'slots' are worth in an auction....😀. But yes Paul's
List is a good one.
Viva Zapata!
Bob
You are both right chaps.
I do try to manage expectation.
The figures are only just out of the master mould.
Mike does not have the production figures from which to make a mould yet.
The danger is that if I release a "forthcoming" list some folk then assume it is all done and add requests on to that.
Your 7 are about correct Paul and Simon.
Seeing as it is only us three; here are the next 3.
1. NCOs
2. Command
3. 81mm mortar
If all goes to plan(?) about 10 days away.
Thanks for the interest.
martin
That's a scoop - you read it here first, folks :)
Many thanks for your continuing hard work on this range, Martin & Mike.

By the way, the gamette 6 Vikings are rather nice too - I do like the idea of keeping two for the gamette itself (possibly complemented by figures from the Dark Ages packs, which is what I'm doing to allow the ladies of the house to have a female figure each) and re-purposing the other two to mix in with Longships crews.
I can see those mail "trees" (for want of a better word - I'm sure someone can jump in and help me out here) appearing in camp dioramas too - a very useful pack for general gaming as well as the gamette itself. You may sell thousands?
Simon
Thank you Simon
martin
Yes indeed, I did like the look of those figures and they could re-energise my slumbering Viking project. Something to work on in the Netherlands.
Lovely pictures of some of the new German Paras on the PP website today.

I was (not very subtly, I accept) hoping that Marin might be persuaded to photograph his models henceforth with a dark wash, rather than a grey undercoat. The wash brings out so much more of the lovely sculpted detail, I feel.
I will now get back into my bunker and await the fallout...
Simon
Simon in times past, if I remember correctly that was how Martin used to prepare his figures for their presentation to the World.
That's good to know, Les. Maybe Martin can chime in here and explain the change of approach? I love the way that a simple ink job brings out so much detail on PP sculpts - both on painted figures and raw castings.
Simon
Today's novelty seems to be a bunch of stuff missing!
Someone has kidnapped all of the German paras and a bunch of the Early War Germans too - all I can see are yellow boxes with no text, figures or cart buttons.
Hopefully these figures will be liberated soon.
Simon
Glad to see that the hostages have been returned and normal service has been resumed.
Simon

Thanks for letting me know.
The problem is that the software is creaking a lot.
It is easy to set up website using Wordpress et al but then they have the website and charge me each month for the privilege.
It seems that software developers are not that interested in making nice easy web programs.
The ones that can buy are either very limited (no tables) or very expensive on a subscription basis.
Wordpress seems a very popular solution, but that would be £36 a month for ever.
martin :'(
QuoteWordpress seems a very popular solution, but that would be £36 a month for ever
Thats not quite correct. You can install WP yourself on your server - its pretty robust and costs nothing. You just integrate with something like Woocommerce and bob is your proverbial uncle.
You must have a ISP through which your domain is registered. Quite often they have GUI tools to install it with a click of a button. I know I can install WP and SMF (along with 100's of web applications) really simply
thanks

Martin,
I have been involved in running our Church website and we use Wordpress. We had used the free option until we realised that the advertising that you have to accept is not always appropriate. Scantily clad ladies and dubious get-rich-quick schemes appeared at random and so now we pay £36 with no unsolicited advertising.
Mike
Its been a few years but from what I recall a lot depends on who your provider is.... I had one where I paid for my site, ran Wordpress with no adverts. You can run Woocommerce etc but you may start to run into issues where its very limited unless you pay a bit more & the free one probably comes with no support. But the setup wasn't too bad.
E Commerce...you always pay somewhere, software, additional features, your payment processor...support.
However its been about 5 years.....so take this with a grain or two of of salt.

So it looks like the peterpig domains is hosted by Namesco Limited. You must be paying for a service already ... i see they have cPanel services from £5 PCM (unless you are buying it from a reseller)

I really like the new "Cowboy hat" sculpts on the PP website. Very elegantly done, and could probably fit in as Cowboys for the Western rules too?
It's nice to see the rest of the Dodge models up there too. From a distance, I initially thought that there was a rather fat general lying asleep in the back of one of them, until I read the caption of "supply car". These will add both character and individuality to MexRev games, I think.
Simon
I agree with the good Colonel, some lurverly Veehickles to add to the supply train - I like the integral torsos and separate head-sprue idea. That makes for some good conversions.
One of the nicest resin/metal combos I've done lately is the Western/ACW supply wagon but I think these will beat that hands down.
The cowboy-hatted troops are lookin' good too!
There are some very nice pictures of the new MexRev troops on the PP website. I particularly like the animated Coaboy hat officers with pistols and 2nd half government at hi porte packs.
Simon
I like the new heading in Mex Rev "Various."
I agree high porte chaps look good!
Cheers,
Helen

I like the new heading in Mex Rev "Various."
And Martin has given himself 12 boxes to flll with goodies...
Simon
Hello Helen
"Various" will be a selection of packs that do not fit into the main categories. ie they can be used by all the armies or are civilians
martin :)
And somewhere for all those street vendors eh, Martin? ;)
I'd missed the LRDG vehicle crew amidst all the other excitement.
Miles: you're not done yet on your 8th Army!

Thank you Martin, that sounds lovely.
Cheers,
Helen
The LRDG look good.
No I haven't as yet Simon, I ve got Reccon vehicles, A/C and associated Carriers etc first to do then LRDG. I like the look of the redone Pz111E. Now if Martin could do a Pz 1V D ??? To go with it ? Loads of things and little spare cash.
Also looking at the MexRev with the cowboy and Indian style figures and where in a Western scenario they can fit ???
Miles
I can't believe that I am one step ahead of Miles for once. I have a LRDG already which I painted about 8 years ago. I have never used it though.
John
That's why I haven't got them yet. I ve just got enough bases for at-least 2 games ???
To be honest there isn't really scenarios for the use of LRDG ?
Miles
I used part of my LRDG crew pack to man a HMG armed jeep for AK47 Republic.
Back to MR various will this feature a pinata? I do hope so.😉
Best wishes,
Martin Buck
The new collectable figure is a very fitting tribute to Paul Coaker:

Simon
There is also more MexRev goodness on the PP website, including a photo of the stretcher party:
https://www.peterpig.co.uk/Mexican%20Revolution.html
More photos to arrive on the Forum News banner later.
Simon
Brilliant work. Love them all.
Cheers,
Helen

Lovely miniature Martin has sculpted. I will order him next time round to go with my dragoons and forlorn hope. Hope we can see more additional officers on all sides for this very unhappy civil war.
Cheers,
Helen
lovely sculpts all - well done Martin, again!
Martin the red banner titled 'What's New' does not work!!
Thanks Les
Will put it on the "to do" list.
martin :(
I do like the MR stretcher team, with head swaps they could be used for other periods e.g. SCW.
Best wishes,
Martin Buck
Thanks Martin
These various packs are to give some options when building an army.
There might be few to represent assets too.
This week i am cutting down a tree with a hand saw...phew!
martin :)
Don't forget to treat it like exercise - "remember, Daniel San, wax on, wax off" Best of luck, Martin!
Martin,
are you wearing your check shirt again?
Best wishes,
Martin Buck
Just like my dear papa Martin!
martin :)
The General Coaker Collectible Figure looks excellent, Martin. Bucket-Top boots and musket-ball proof mark on the breastplate are spot on. Have a care!
Mike.
I think the horseholder photos at the top of the page have been labelled the wrong way round compared with the listing in the ACW range. However, I assume they can be painted up as either side, especially as the Confederate is wearing a sack coat.
Whoops, you are right, Andy - sorry all!
I will fix this once my PC has stopped playing whatever Disney film the children are currently using it to watch...
Simon
Fixed now, I hope. I'm glad someone was on their toes and spotted this.
Simon
TBH Simon I don't usually spot that kind of thing.
TBH Andy, I don't usually mess up (well, not that much!) ;)
Simon
Some very nice new 1920 Poles have appeared on the PP website today (and in this Forum's new banner, of course).
As well as WW2 some Dutch heads.
Simon
They look excellent and I'm sure could have uses elsewhere.
Oooh, I'm am very much liking those 1920 Poles! ;D ;D ;D
Oulala... :o
the 1920 Poles are really magnificent...
Once again, Martin excelled himself. 8)
Pierre
That's a nice collectable figure you've made of Terry Shockey, Martin, and very timely for the new CK rules.

Good spot Simon
i am sending the photos after Sunday morning when I hope to get two new packs out (here's hoping).
martin :)
Excellent. I unexpectedly have some time on my hands tomorrow as I'm confined to quarters, so look forward to whatever you can send my way, Martin.
Simon
Thanks Simon :)
Ooh, interesting appearance on the WotR page - 2 new packs of poor people, one male and one female. I will surely be able to find something for them to do.
Spotted a couple of new head packs as well:
WotR - civilian in posh hat
WWII - Russian paratrooper
Well done, Andy - Martin does like to keep us on our toes.
I think the Russian para head has been there for a while, but the WOTR is so new you can't buy it yet.
Which all rather begs the question - what body can you attach it to, given that the latest sculpts are explicitly "poor"?
More WOTR goodies to come...?
Simon
Possibly a knight in camp - armour on but not yet wearing his helmet as a hat is more comfortable. Also, an artillery master gunner?
Good points Andy.
Simon
Having fun at the moment working on the Warwick command group.
Just come across the new WotR retinue cavalry. Wow! they are really nice sculpts and I am going to have to get at least one complete unit.
Have you spotted the resin Vietnam M113s too?
Photos should be up on this Forum later today.
Simon
RetiNew Cavalry AND a gaggle of green dragons! Nice additions, Martin! ;D
Neil
Loving the variant M113s, Martin. The Republique de Senemal will no doubt be placing an order for a couple of battle hardened versions for their regulars in due course... after all if they are good enough for General Zateb Kazim then his neighbours should follow suit... courtesy of Sahara (2005)
Alas, since I posted this the 'Republique de Senemal' has gone back in time. General Kazim Snr. is in charge and in cahoots with the Soviets for military hardware... maybe one of his jealous neighbours might partake in future...
Neil
A somewhat eclectic mix of new photos and figures on the website (and now up on this Forum's News section):
- Macedonian foot command (new and rather lovely)
- Moorish cavalry (remastered version of an existing pack)
- Wars of the Roses arrow stooks (new)
- WOTR bowmen shooting low / straight (new)
- Italian WW2 command tank (photos newly posted)
- WW2 British heads for the soon-to-be-released resin jeep
- WW1 Austin Putilov armoured car (not sure if it's new, or had simply evaded the war photographers until now!)
Simon
The Austin Putilov is a lovely model, but not new - and one of the first a/cs to attract me to PP...
Neil
I see now... the Austin Putilov resin edition!
Matin, are you going to do the side by side turreted version or maybe even a Russo Balt 'D' Type with twin AA MG? turret? ;D
Neil
No additional plans for AC at the moment Neil. Sorry.
I am working on the desert jeeps for the next couple of weeks.
Those cossacks too.
martin :)
I see that a bunch more Cossacks have stealthily infiltrated the PP website: foot command, MMG team, gun crew - and they all look absolutely fab!
I like the prodigious application of moustaches - very characterful.
Simon
Very nice indeed, with more to follow by the looks of things.
Sorry I forget the phots will do that now.
martin :-[
Is something exciting happening on the First World War page? Empty space at the top. I imagine Martin has resculpted the whole British range during his lunch break and is going to suprise us.
Or maybe it's for the new Cossacks. 50/50 really!
It looks as though someone's doing some real-time Spring cleaning, Sean.
Some of the Cossacks have disappeared from where they were on the page earlier. today I'm expecting them to turn up again and cut your supply lines shortly :)
Simon
Sorry it is an uploading faction.
The software I use is very slow indeed.
It does however do what is needed without giving up any ownership or paying fees. :)
martin :)
It appears that normal service has been restored ;)
I trust that all the digital cobwebs have been cleared away.
Simon
The beat goes on.
martin :)
New photos to hit the News section shortly :)
Simon
Thanks for that Simon
martin

That might be next year's WW1 project, Sean? :D
Of course, Martin should really be expanding the WW1 French cavalry first, but you know what he's like... ;D
Simon
Oh yes. Goes off and designs stuff that we knew we needed but didn't know was coming and stuff we didn't know we need until we see it on the website.
With all of the Mexicans done, I'm onto Romans followed by Pirates. But if a full range for the War of Jenkins Ear comes out next week, I'm in.

Are you sure you don't "need" a few hundred Cossacks, Sean? They're hot off the press and looking rather lovely... :D
Simon
No, I absolutely DO need them! They go very well with both my RCW and WW2 Russians. Now Mexico is done, I'm onto Romans and Pirates so once they're done, I'll be adding the new Cossacks.

Excellent, Sean - I was starting to lose faith in you.
When you start the Cossacks before finishing your Romans, I'll know you're fully back on track ;D
Simon
A lovely new batch of Cossacks is just in - these are very nice!
Simon
Thanks for putting them up Simon
martin :)
It would have been rude not to, Martin :D
This is one of those ranges I just want to buy because I like the figures so much - they do look wonderful.
I'm looking forward to seeing some painted up - I think that they would respond well to the style of the artist-formerly-known-as-Lurkio, with contrast paints and washes?
Simon
I will go back and make the Cossacks brilliant in PBI.
A special "moustache" rule that allows Cossacks to laugh in the face of danger and ignore all morale/moral tests?
martin :)
Agree some great sculpts in this range. What else is to come??
D&B

I think they should fail all morals tests - as should most RCW participants.
They seem to have done well from a morale perspective, though. Big black flags help?
Simon
A Cossack host is definitely on my wishlist... ;)
Neil
More stealthy Cossacks I see - light mortar and SMGs. They look as though they would be a joy to paint - nice clear straps and not much other detail to have to bother with! Should be great with a wash or contrast paints?
Simon
Also a sneaky desert domes building and walled courtyard - very nice!
Simon
It's great to see that the 3 Musketeers have now arrived. I'm looking forward to messing around with replacing their rapiers with wire, and seeing how far I can bend their arms to vary the poses. Maybe some alternative heads might come along in due course?
The ACW mule-hauled wagons are also up and ready for sale.
Simon
Simon you will find needles a better substitute for the rapiers.
I use nickel silver wire, Les. Why do you think this won't work?
Simon
Today it appears to be not only Macedonian hypaspists but also advance notice of other Macedonians in the offing
I think Martin is still missing the elephants and the bolt-throwing scythed chariots pulled by flaming pigs.
Simon
Just started doing some Macedonian sculpting. A lot of time getting ready and playing events this month.
martin :)
That's late in the day to start, Martin.
Don't forget your beauty sleep, with two more weekends' gaming ahead of you!
Simon
"On through the night?"
martin :)
I do rather like the new Thracians - very dashing chaps!
Simon
Thanks. There is a Thracian command pack coming along too.
martin :)
Like I'd said - a whole Thracian army seems to be on the march :)
Simon
I think Martin's sculpting just keeps getting better. The dynamism in the latest 2 packs (Macedonian artillery and Thracian command) in particular makes me just want to buy some purely for the fun of painting them - lovely stuff!
Simon
Thank you Simon.
martin :)
I really appreciate the videos too Martin. They convey something more than simple photographs. And I agree with Simon; the Thracians are a triumph!
Thanks Sean. Did you get your WWW order Ok?
martin :)
Yes thank you. A pleasant surprise. I've messaged Nigel to thank him.
Those new Midianites on the PP website are looking mighty fine, Martin!
Simon
Thanks Simon
I will get the pictues to you if you can be kind enough to put them up.
My memory......
martin :)
I will happily do so. If I remember ;)
Simon
The new Scots pikemen are also very nice!
Simon
Thanks
I intend to re photo them with bristle pikes attached.
martin :)
Good idea Martin!
Simon

My first thought when I saw the picture in the banner display was that they were waiting for a tankard or other drinking vessel! It's definitely a "cheers" pose.
I may of course just be stereotyping! ☺
Neil
I think that may say more about you than about the figures, Neil ;D
Simon
Quote from: Colonel Kilgore on March 10, 2024, 11:34:35 AMI think that may say more about you than about the figures, Neil ;D
Simon
Maybe. But look at that middle figure and tell me you can't see him toasting Martin's health!
Neil
OK Neil, I take it back - I do now see what you mean!
Simon
Well, we can now order the new Greeks as well as the updated AK47 generals from the PP website but can't yet see them - intriguing! :D
Simon
Now that we have the pictures, we can see that the new Greeks are really nice sculpts. I don't need another project to sit on the shelf for a few years, but I'm sorely tempted with these and the Macedonians...
Simon
And the first batch of the remastered AK47 commanders - timed to help motivate us to get back into this chaotic period once we have PBI 2020 done and dusted.
These are lovely little figures, and it looks as though the bodyguards are to some degree interchangeable, to add some variety to the all-important command stand.
We really are in a golden age of PP sculpting!
Simon
Agreed. Very glad to see the Hoplites. They look splendid.
I've played a game of (shock/horror!) classic AK47 tonight with 3 new players. They all loved it. It was truly chaotic mainly due to me forgetting most of the rules 😂🤣😅
Thanks for the support chaps.
I am awaiting the civil guard LMGs and some more AK characters.
martin :)
And the Assault Guard LMGs and HMGs? ;)
Simon
Not sure about those as workshop wants some other stuff doing.
But thy will certainly get done.
martin :)
Thank you Martin.
Simon
Nice to see some new Huey crew members being "teased" on the PP website - I look forward to seeing these!
Simon
Mike is away at the moment, so I am waiting for his return as he is the main mould makerer.
There are two packs of Nubians too.
martin :)
