Title: Tonights game
Post by: martin goddard on February 21, 2018, 10:00:05 PM
Western game.  Defender chose river option.  Mexicans attacking and army defending.
A few unusual outcomes. 12D6 v 12D6 fight with are-roll. No casualties caused!
Long range group shoots off 5 target bases in one shot.
Single leader base beats off two large Mexican groups. A real hero!
Defender win. Artillery gun used but not in a fight or up close much.

Initial deploy, net allowed defenders to get into cove immediately.
attacking Mexican shad mostly short shooters.
Stuff is still changing!
Simon and Les are recce spotting!

Did the river affect the game?
Has anyone used the machine gun?
What type of leader was being used?

Hello Les
River tends to stop attacker sweeping defender groups away in turn 1. Bad news for the attacker.
MG has been tried, by Stewart, but the Mg rules are still in flux.
I have been using leader as shooter and gung-ho. There do not seem to be any favourites for commander , which is good news.
