You must have too much time on your hands when you can't paint or model.

Watched some of the first episodes, very evocative for the period with the music and news reel.

I remember some of the events but not all presented concurrently from both sides.

It was very good. From a wargamers point of view it was probably too strategic (big) and not tactical (small) enough. However it was probably not made just for wargamers?

Shocking, really: I wonder when film makers will work out who their key audience for such documentaries really is....?

I have read somewhere that the UK version had around 6 hours cut from it's running time compared to the US release. I wonder if we  can get hold of the full edit via DVD?

I expect the "cut" bits all all the wargaming references?

Are folks aware that the unedited full 18 hours version of the documentary is been shown on PBS America on Sky? Missed the first episode but the second episode is available on catch up.

Thanks, Sean. I for one wasn't, but now am!

I don't have Sky, but PBS America also seems to be on channel 276 on Virgin Media :)
