June para mould
« on: June 07, 2020, 01:59:32 PM »
Just got back from the workshop. 1pm.

From the metal forges of "Herr Schwein"
3 new packs of German paras.
1= NCOs. Armed with SMGs.
2=Command. 4 poses. 2 officers and a pair with a radio.
3 = 81mm mortar crew. 3 poses.

Photos in the next few days I think?
A little sit down now due to age. :)

A note about the insignia of German paras.
Patches on both arms.
Square.
Instead of stripes they used  little complete wings (ie both wings and symmetrical) stacked one above the other. Typically 2 or 3 for an NCO.
Same for officers but horizontal strips at the bottom of the patch.
Thus, a horizontal stripe topped by one or two wings wold be a junior officer.
A higher office might have 3 horizontal stripes topped by a number of wings.
I am not giving any further  detail (the detail is freely available on the inter net) because the figures are not good enough to show every detail of rank (what rough sculpting!). I have just done a series of horizontal lines to indicate rank of some sort.

martin :)

Thanks for the update Martin.
Will you be including New dead and Light Mortars ?
Can you say when the canisters and canopy’s will be ready?

Hello Stewart
Dead are planned soon. i.e. next couple of weeks.
Canisters before end of June ( I hope?).
Next is MG34 tripod and gun crew.

All sounds lovely Martin.

Your recent rate of output has indeed been prodigious. Or maybe prodigal. Or some other prodding word with more than 2 syllables...

It's sad not to have been able to play games recently but great to see so many new sculpts!

Thanks Martin, looking forward to all the above
With the planed new gun crew (Fallschirmjager) are you planing the early mountain gun?

Great progress.

Is the 50mm Mortar a possibility?

Thanks for the interest chaps.

1.The crew pack will be used with the PAK36 AT gun and with the Recoilless rifle (not yet made).
2. 50mm mortar. Yes, but I do not want to over promise at this point. The next 3 packs are listed on the website.
